Why YOU need Prophet Business Services-NOW

What is Prophet Business Services??

Finally-Connecting the ENTIRE Supply Chain

• We are a new company that is formed to service the entire supply chain. And, unlike many who now make this claim, we are qualified to do so. Buyers and factories are partners, inseparable links in the same supply chain. So by helping both we help each.

• • We are formed in the recognition that times have changed (they

always are), and in the future of global sourcing and trade, the same solutions that worked before will only lead to loss and pain in the future. As factories and buyers, you cannot control many things that seriously and drastically affect your business-such as exchange rates and material prices. So we need to focus on what you can control and can do better in order to overcome the factors beyond our control.

Time to be really scared-Here’s what you cannot change

– RMB-USD exchange rate 2006=8.15; RMB-USD exchange rate 9/13/2010=6.76; Difference=17.1%

– Approximate monthly labor cost 2006 (Zhejiang) RMB 750-1000; Approximate monthly labor cost to retain workers 2010= RMB 2000; Difference 100%+

– Monthly labor cost translated to USD 2006=$92-$123; Monthly labor cost translated to USD 2010=$295; Difference=141-221%

– China is a market with labor shortage so labor rates are not solely determined by government mandated levels.

Page 4: PBS Bulletin

What’s Next?– Where will RMB-USD exchange rate land 2010-beyond. 6? 5? IF

RMB appreciates to 6.5/USD and labor rate for 2011 increases only by the China Labor Contract Law of 2008 mandated 8.3%, monthly wage translated to USD will increase to $333, an increase of 13%.

– This will also affect labor-intensive services such as trucking and transportation.

– What will effect be on materials? In dollar terms, exchange rate appreciation will affect every part of the production process.

• • The undeniable fact is that labor, which has been a nearly

inconsequential factor for China, will become very dear for manufactured product, especially those of low FOB value such as textiles.

What’s Bothering You?

• For Manufacturers/Contractors:• What’s The Difference? There is little or no new or spontaneous export

business for factories now. So, new business can only be gotten by taking it from someone else. Any buyer who is thinking at all knows that switching from one factory to another in the same country or region should only be done if there is a proven difference between the new factory and the old (here I am assuming price is NOT a reason, anyone can match a price). – Decisions to switch countries should also be made on core competencies, but

here price may come into play. We know that ALL costs must be taken into account, including logistics, for this to make sense.

• If you are in China (or NOT, because everything that happens in China affects the rest of the world, like it or not), everything is changing fast. IF you don’t make some changes to deal with what the future holds, it won’t hold YOU. You have to look at the separate presentation, The Way to a Bright Future for China. It is, respectfully, the ONLY way.

For Buyers..

• Isn’t time to stop the Pain and Suffering? (Everybody has some, most have more than they will admit. For most of us, the other shoe drops every day, admit it. How much do you have? You can gauge by how much of your day is spent dealing with the Pain and Suffering points versus constructive, build-a-business activities—like thinking).

For Both…

• Nobody can afford the waste of time and money. Profits are not as fat as they used to be, if they exist at all. If BOTH sides are wasting money, it affects profits and prices to the final user in multiples. Which affects sales. Which affects profits. Which affects YOU.

• Everyone wants to be successful. But, with today’s uncertain and complex world, there is so much you cannot control. HOW do you control what you CAN control?

Page 8: PBS Bulletin

I can solve my own problems. Why do I need you?

• Because the other shoe drops every day?• Because it would be great if you could focus on

building your business?• Because you are really scared about the future?
