How to apply

Step 1 – Interview:

All students need to have an interview before they can register for any programme/s they are interest in. Bring the following documents to your interview:

• Certified copy of your ID document.

• Certified copy of your passport (international students only).

• Certified copy of your National Senior certificate (if you have matriculated).

• Certified copy of your highest qualification.

• Your CV.

Step 2 – Registration:

After your interview, submit your enrolment contract and required registration fee is unique to each course and is indicated by the specific course information below (non-refundable) Pay by cash, cheque, bank deposit, card machine or EFT. The student name and surname must be used as reference.. Documentation required:

• Signed enrolment contract.

• ID photo of the student.

• Certified copy of your ID document.

• Certified copy of your passport (international students only).

• Your CV.

Step 3 – Confirmation:

You will receive an acknowledgment letter containing your registration number and confirmation of programme/s for which you applied. This number becomes your student ID on enrolment.

International students will need to supply us with their study visa once it has been obtained.

The Essentials of Pro Tools provides a more detailed study of the Pro Tools system. This three-day course covers all the key concepts and skills needed to operate a Pro Tools system. The course provides the foundation for the later 200-series Pro Tools Music Production and Post Production courses.

Requirements for this course: • Basic computer skills

This course focuses on the essential skills required to operate a VENUE system in a live sound environment. It covers system operation using both the VENUE DShow software and a VENUE control surface. This course is designed for live sound students and engineers who have limited experience using a VENUE system. The course requires a basic knowledge of live sound principles. Advanced students and working professionals may want to combine this course with VENUE 210V.

Media Composer MC101

Media Composer Fundamentals I (MC101) is the first step in achieving confidence, creativity, and efficiency with Avid Media Composer, the non-linear film/video editing application used in most movie and television productions. Together with the second course in the series, Media Composer Fundamentals II (MC110), this course provides the foundational training required to achieve the credential of Avid Certified User: Media Composer.

Media Composer Fundamentals I is an introductory course designed to get a new user up-and-running on the software. In this course, students develop an understanding of the video editing process and the basic skills to edit a video project from start to finish. This includes understanding the relationship between media and project files, media storage location, the abilities to create the project file; bring in the source video and audio files; edit the sequence, add titles, music, and basic effects, and then export the finished sequence.
