As we celebrate our 73rd year of existence, we reflect on our growth and success, and
on those who have significantly contributed to that success. We specifically
acknowledge our members, and volunteers for their enthusiasm and support of the
Credit Union. We also acknowledge management and staff for their commitment to
excellence. It is this excellence that fuels our vision for the future.
2011 was a banner year for the Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit
Union. We continued the momentum of the strides made in 2010 despite the economic
challenges that continue to strain our national and local economies. Performance
ratios significantly improved during 2011 to historic highs. We surpassed the strategic
goals set by the Board of Directors while controlling expenses, increasing earnings and
increasing member capital.
As a credit union, we are a financial cooperative – here to serve our members. We strive
to provide excellent service to our members. We continue to build new relationships
that will help us compete and grow in the competitive financial marketplace.
The strides we made in 2011 will help us as we continue to grow and expand services
to our members. Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union is well
positioned to meet future economic challenges. Our commitment to our members will
remain a primary focus as we strive to provide quality products and services through
sound business practices.
Thank you to all of our volunteers for the time they give to ensure we are successful. It is
a big commitment with a lot of responsibility. Thank you to management and staff for
their continued hard work and dedication. We continue to build our financial strength
so we can serve you, our members into the future. Thank you for your membership and
continued support of Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union.

The Supervisory Committee consists of five members
who are appointed by the Board of Directors in
accordance with the By-laws of the credit union.
The Committee is responsible to oversee internal
audit controls and to ensure the safety and security
of member deposits.
The committee utilizes the CPA firm of Holben, Hay,
Lake, and Balzer to conduct quarterly reviews and
audits to validate the internal controls present and to
ensure the credit union complies with established
regulations and policies. The committee also ensures
an annual CPA audit is conducted that includes a
verification of member accounts.
The Federal examiners of the National Credit
Union Administration conducted a comprehensive
examination and we are pleased to report that the
Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit
Union again received a top rating.

The Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union
was chartered in 1938 by officers of the Denver Police
Department. The Credit Union now serves Federal, State
and local law enforcement officers in a 16 county approved
area as well as family members.
The Credit Union processes financial transactions in a
cost-effective manner with the least amount of expense to
each individual member. Economies of scale have helped to
maintain operating costs. Services provided to members
include a wide range of savings products, loan products
and convenience services.
2011 was an outstanding year for RMLEFCU. It was a year of
growth and prosperity, and we have positioned ourselves well
to be able to withstand the effects of a struggling economy.
We surpassed the $150 million mark in assets. Capitalization,
a primary factor in our operating plan, grew 11.70% to
15.10%. Our goal is to maintain a capital to asset ratio of
over 10%. Return on average assets, a primary measurement
of profitability, increased significantly during 2011. We
exceeded our Return on Asset goal with an ROA of 1.48%.
Loans continued to be flat in 2011 with minimal growth
ending with a portfolio of $96,064,584. Member deposits
grew by over $2.5 million ending the year at $126,696,810.
Our loan to share ratio ended the year at 75.82%
I encourage you to review comparative financial
statements, which are included in the Annual Report.
You will find that 2011 was an outstanding year.

enough time in his busy
school schedule to excel
as our Professional of
the Quarter this spring.
A graduate from
Longmont High School,
Tyler played football and
lettered his senior year.
He’s a part time
employee with the
credit union, and a full

and ready smile. He
continually demon -
strates leadership,
teamwork and a get-it-
done attitude every day.
Tyler has two older
brothers and a younger
sister. Along with his
duties at college and at
RMLEFCU, he still finds
time for basketball and
football.
We’re glad to have

SU RpRiSe!Look who’s on your account!Think about the changes in your life in recent years. And think
about all your accounts with RMLEFCU and other institutions. Did
you know you may have unexpected beneficiaries from long ago that
could receive your account balance if something happened to you?
Ownership of an account is assigned to (1) joint owners;
(2) beneficiaries; and (3) court appointed representatives.
We cannot accept wills as your final directions.
