Well, Ok…. I guess I can almost welcome the membership to the 2020 camping
season at MCA. Things sure have drastically changed in the last few months but we
seem to be weathering the storm pretty good. I would usually start here and give
you the standard welcome back, watch your speed, obey your rules etc. etc. etc.,
Instead, I would like to say that I have noticed people are kinder to each other, peo-
ple are more willing to help their neighbors in need and so on. If this is the "new
normal", then I am ready to sign up because it is what MCA should all be about. Life
is very frail we have discovered that anyone can be here today and gone tomorrow
so don't be afraid to check on your neighbors, help someone out that needs help, or
at the very least, just say hello. Looking forward to an enjoyable season provided
the Governor lifts the guidelines and first and foremost that we are all safe. Activi-
ties are up on the air at this moment and the committees are planning some things
if they are able. We have new folks running the camp store, so please drop by
(while social distancing) and say hello. Jon and the maintenance crew have com-
pleted some projects and are working on others. There are a lot of things that still
need done, but they are working hard at accomplishing what we need done. We
have a new office coordinator, Bambi and Diane is our new office employee. If you
are down that way, lift the mail slot, just kidding (remember social distancing) and
say hello. I will not have a maintenance report in this newsletter. I will update that
report on the July 4th edition after I have completed my ride around the camp and
see what still needs done.

Many prayers to those in our Camp family that has lost a loved one
over the winter months.

Our Lake fire pit project will be completed by Memorial Day weekend (I hope, if the
weather cooperates). Only problem will be no fires if we are still under social dis-
tancing guidelines. Remember to check with the office first before starting any
building projects. We need to follow the building permit rules for any construction.
Permit violators unfortunately will be fined, so please follow those rules. You must
apply for our permit before you can get one from Brady Twp. then you must follow
their guidelines as well. It's a new world folks, I could have very easily submitted
my article by just saying "Hello, and welcome back Members", that would be
enough for me, but we do have to remind you of some things. Enjoy your camp.
Bob Villella - Vice President / G-Section Rep / Co- Liaison to Architecture, Security & Management,
Maintenance and Camp Store
Since the beginning, for decades, MCA has been fortunate in having many, many
volunteers step up to the plate and give their time, energy, and knowledge for
so many fun and fulfilling activities, hands on projects and expertise.
When you invest in your campground, you take pride in accomplishments, and it
impacts the lives of so many. It’s a connection to others, and creates a personal
bond.
Rather than just saying, “I don’t mind helping, but I don’t want to join a
Committee”, consider contacting those “hands on Activity Committees” early
and arranging a few dates in advance. It would surely help the planners who are
still carrying the tradition of causing a great experience for all, young and old!
Don’t just leave it to a few. We have so many talents here, give your time, it’s a
great way to instill values in our children, our future! Make MCA a better place.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
WILL CASH IN EXCESS OF $25.00
BE ACCEPTED AT THE OFFICE!
YOU MUST PAY BY CHECK OR MONEY
ORDER ONLY!
Please ensure that you get a receipt for all cash /check
transactions that you make in the office.
F RO M S A L E S & P RO M O On a daily basis, potential buyers contact the office, or just show up to see what
MCA has to offer. They are given a current listing of Lots that are for sale that
includes price and what’s included at a glance. A key is provided in the office and
only given to S&P volunteers. The fee to be listed is $50.00 for 5 months.
Why pay vs just posting a sign on your Lot:
You don’t have to be at camp, people that drive a distance can see the inside of
your trailer that day (otherwise they may not return), volunteer members are
responsible for monitoring while it’s being viewed, and securing your property.
We are not sales agents, volunteers have no knowledge of what the condition or
value of your listing is, they just take potentials to the Lots they choose that
are primarily on the Sales List. Seeing the inside is always a plus!
The List is updated monthly/weekly, depending on additions or deletions.
Deletions are the result of a positive outcome!
Hello camp family,
My name is Laurie and I
am the chair for the
Youth Committee this
year.
We have a lot of nice
activities planned and
are eager to get things
started once restrictions
loosen up. I’m looking
forward to working with
Teens and WiFi to bring
forward activities for all
ages. We have also been
working on some backup
activities in case we have
to modify things with
restrictions. We have a
great team with the
committee’s this year.
I’m looking forward to a
great camping season!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to the 2020 season. A bunch of work has been
done over the winter and a lot more is ongoing. Our maintenance workers and office staff have been busy! The
PA and CDC restrictions have made life difficult for everyone, but I would ask for everyone to please be patient.
The youth/teens/wifi have some great things planned. If you are available, I would ask for you to volunteer and
help a committee you're interested in. Lastly, be smart and safe. Lets have fun and make an enjoyable summer.
Any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact me. John McFadden - A section rep / Teen, Vehicle Liaison

Welcome back MCA, this year the Teens, Youth, and WiFi have planned an awesome combined schedule of events
for all to enjoy and hoping for the County to turn Green so we can start enjoying these events. I hope everyone has
had a good and safe winter and I look forward to seeing you all. The Board has approved and WiFi is now available
for free to all campers but can only guarantee good signal strength at the a frame. We are hoping to be able to
work on it everywhere else in camp but at this time everything is very uncertain. When we are able to have our
events please consider donating to the WiFi, Teens and Youth. This will help to keep the WiFi open and pay for
some other great things our committees have planned for camp. We are still here if you have any WiFi questions,
don't hesitate to contact us via email at [email protected], call/text 724-374-4106, Facebook message me or
just stop by C-610. I am always happy to try to help!
Andi Criscella - WiFi Chair
I Hope everyone is doing well and I'm sure you are all
as anxious as I am for summer fun to begin. Opening
camp is always a task for all of us, and with everything
that is going on, I'm sure some of you may need a
helping hand. Feel free to find me at D-36 or email me
As many of us have different opinions about this
Covid-19, I would like to ask everyone to please be
considerate to others. Along with the Seniors in our
campground, there are many others of all ages that
may have health issues that we are not aware of that
can easily be at risk. Hopefully soon this will pass and
we can all enjoy our camp.
As of now with the many restrictions still in place, a lot
of the scheduled committee functions are cancelled but
please know, they have been communicating and
trying to create some fun activities that can be done
within our guidelines. Just as volunteering is always
a great help, sharing any suggestions you may have
may create a fun day. If your not sure how to contact
someone, you can always leave a note at the office
and they can submit it to the committee.
And remember, Just sitting around a camp fire is
always fun and relaxing!

The Lake Committee, with Board approval, has been working on a community fire pit located next to the Gateside
Pavilion. Construction had started last fall with a tentative completion date of mid May depending on Covid-19
restrictions. Each community fire pit event must be sponsored by one of the MCA Committees and it is open to the
entire membership. The Committee's ask for small donations of firewood to be used during an event. The following
guidelines have been developed, Board approved and a copy of them are available at the Office. Please contact
committee liaisons for additional information regarding these guidelines for further clarification if necessary.
Firepit Guidelines:
Any use of the firepit must be committee sponsored and attended.
Sponsoring committee members must be present at all times and must appoint a member(s) to maintain the fire
and extinguish the fire. This information must be provided to security staff also.
All current and future MCA and Committee Rules and Regulations are to be observed at all times.
Parents and/or guardians are responsible for monitoring their children.
Emergency services phone numbers must be available at all committee sponsored events.
Cleanup must be completed by established quiet hours.
Ash from fire must be deposited in the approved metal ash container and dumped at the designated waste site by
10AM the following morning by sponsoring committee personnel.

Hello all, I am Keith Young one of your E-section board representatives. I hope you made it safe through the win-
ter. If you have any questions about camp feel free to contact me at my lot E-41 or on the camp page and I will try
and answer your questions and if I don’t have the answer I will do my best to get you the answer or send you to the
person that can hopefully get you the answer. I also am the liaison to the board and chairperson for the adult
lounge committee. The adult lounge committee has got the bowling machine in the lounge fixed and ready for use.
We are planning on painting the lounge this year if you have any supplies to this that you would like to donate
please contact me. Things we could use is brushes, rollers, paint pans, drop clothes. Also, we would like to replace
the cabinet around the sink and possibly the sink and fixtures if you have any you would like to donate or build a
new cabinet please contact me. Other things that are lower on the list but would like to address is the entertain-
ment cabinet it is starting to show its age and could use a replacement. And the bar could use a makeover. Any
volunteer help for materials and labor you can contact me. The adult lounge plans having Dart and pool tourna-
ments if the restrictions of covid19 are lifted the first is scheduled for memorial week sat the 23rd of may 1.00pm
at the lounge pending the restrictions being lifted. Let's all have a wonderful summer hope to see everyone in
camp this summer having fun.
