Since the 2175th MP

CO arrived at Camp As

Sayliyah, they have

been working hand in

hand with the Georgia

units completing the

RIP (Relief in Place).

This process is a way

for our Soldiers to per-

form their mission,

while the other Soldiers

are still present to assist

if needed. They

worked with each other

on what to do in differ-

occur. At the end of the

As I write this it is hard

to believe we have been

in country for nearly

thirty days. The “TOA”

transfer of authority

from the departing units,

went well and we are

firmly entrenched in our

daily duties. The chow

here is amazing and

there is a plethora of ex-

tracurricular activities

for Soldiers. Hopefully

within the next 30 days

we will be afforded the

privilege of civilian

clothing. The Soldiers

will then have lots of

opportunities to visit

Doha and get to see the

country around us. As

the time moves for us I

hope and pray it moves

just as quickly for those

COMMANDER’S CORNER

Greetings to all family members and

friends of Soldiers from the 2175TH

Military Police Company. This is the

first of many newsletters to come from

Qatar as we go through our deploy-

ment. I will be giving you updates on

our Soldiers training and accomplish-

ments throughout the year. Currently,

our Soldiers have assumed responsi-

bility for the security of the camp. We

have already had Soldiers receive rec-

ognition for the accomplishments

leading up to Qatar and once here as

well. SPC Michelle Hurt was recog-

nized for her tactical expertise during

the final field training exercise at

Camp Shelby, MS. SPC Courtney

West was recognized for her rendition

of The National Anthem during the

175TH MP BN TOA Ceremony

(Transfer of Authority). There have

been many other accolades that have

been given to numerous soldiers as

well. I look forward to sharing with

you the successes that all of our Sol-

diers achieve throughout the deploy-

ment . The last and most important

information that I have is the welcom-

ing of our newest military family

member, Addison Mae Bruno born 20

OCT 11 to SPC Robert Bruno and Mi-

chelle. Congratulations!!!
