Welcome to Week 10 Newsletter! T - Trust. I trust you have enjoyed the term and your child’s learning. We have attached to our final newsletter 2 new pieces of information. One is our learning journey in writing this term. These learning journeys will be coming out 3 times a term to update you on what your child is learning here at NVS. The second one is our Digital Help Tips that Jordan Priestley our Digital Guru will be designing to help you at home with the ever-changing digital world. We will post both information pieces on Facebook and on our school website. I do hope you enjoy them and find them informative. Next term, we are dipping our feet even more into the digital world and will be holding an information evening around Seesaw, a parent online platform which showcases your child’s learning. I do hope you will come along. G - Grateful. I was so grateful to Natalie Gow and the team at NVS for putting on a lovely cooked Matariki breakfast on Tuesday and then having you come along and enjoy it. Thank you for making an effort to celebrate Matariki with your children. It was lovely catching up. I am also grateful to Morero Marae for the wonderful Matariki Information event that Maurice and the team there did for our students. Thanks also to the support we have had with the Kōwhai trip. I - Inspired I have been inspired this week by the year 8 Leaders who have really stepped up and taken on challenges. Well done Shaiya Arthur, our head girl, for leading the Year 8’s so well! F - Fun. I am looking forward to our Cheerleading today, and tomorrow the Mataī and Oak play. Thank you for your wonderful support this term. A busy term 3 is coming up with the school centenary, ski and snow trips, cross country and Arts Splash evening, just to name a few. Have a wonderful break; be safe and have fun!
Piki te ora (May your spirit be uplifted). Maria and NVS staff.
