Prelude (8 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.) “Vine and Branches” Todd Baldosser
Prelude (9:15 a.m.) “Jesus, Lord to Me” arr. by Hayes Jane Shoemaker
*Opening Hymn “We Gather Together”
We gather together to ask for God’s blessing,
to turn to a wisdom surpassing our own;
the pow’rs that oppress us now cease to distress us.
O God, be present with us, and make your will known.
May all sing your praises, Redeemer Triumphant,
defend us befriend us, whatever may be.
May your congregation escape tribulation.
Your name be praised forever, O God, make us free!
*Call to Worship
Leader: The time for harvest is close at hand. What have you done with the gifts
God has given you?
People: We have brought our gifts to the house of the Lord.
Leader: Praise God for the gifts and for opportunities for service that they
represent.
People: We praise God for all the ways in which our lives have been
blessed.
*Prayer of Invocation
All: O Lord, we gratefully acknowledge the gifts you have given to each
of us for service in your world. Gifts of teaching, healing, inspiring,
challenging and creating are all among the myriad of things you
have placed in our lives. Direct our lives to use these gifts as we
reach out to our neighborhood and nation, witnessing to your love
and your healing mercy. We pray this in Jesus’ name even as he
taught us, saying . . .
*Please stand if you are able (9:15 Indoor)
The Lord’s Prayer…Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our debts, As we
forgive our debtors; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us
from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory
forever. Amen.

Pastoral Prayer
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord; who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell, the third
day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on
the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to
judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the One Holy Universal Christian Church;
the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the
body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
Scripture Matthew 25:14-30
Sermon “Final Jeopardy” Rev. Mark Katrick
Prayer of Dedication
All: Give us thankful hearts, O God, for your grace to us in life and
health and strength. Let these gifts of your bounty and of our hand
be used to glorify you now and in your church’s work forever.
*Closing Hymn “Soon and Very Soon”
Soon and very soon, We are going to see the King,
Soon and very soon, We are going to see the King.
Soon and very soon, We are going to see the King,
Hallelujah, hallelujah, We are going to see the King.
No more dying there, We are going to see the King,
No more dying there, We are going to see the King.
No more dying there, We are going to see the King,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, We are going to see the King.
