Meets at the NGCL Hall Tuesdays with a weigh-in at 6:30 pm followed by a short business meeting. This support group is open to men and women. For more information please call:

Our first event for the fall was the Potluck Supper that was held on Friday, September 27. There will be a report in the November issue. The Fall Fun Bingo will be held on Friday, October 25 at 7:00pm at the Community Hall. This is a fun family event with prizes and refreshments. The cost is $2 per adult person. The cost for the young people (under 18 years of age) is 10 cents for each year of their age. Last year at the October Fun Bingo, there were 11 people, ages 8 to 80, in attendance—can we beat this number at this event?? One player won three bingos. Remember, BINGO is all about having the “right” numbers but in a certain pattern. Mark your calendar for the Christmas Pot Luck on Friday, Decem-ber 6. Watch the November newsletter for more details. North Glenora Dragons Pond Hockey

Dragons Pond Hockey Returns for its 6th Season!

The program is designed for kids in the community to

experience hockey for the first time or expand on

their previous experiences. Pond hockey is a fun way

to experience the game. Participants are required to have at least an

Intermediate level of skating which means they are confident skating,

turning and stopping.

Dates:

Thursday Nights, Jan 9 – Feb 27. 6 - 8 weeks. 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm

(Beginner) and 7:15-8:15 (Advanced). Cost: $80 per player – this covers

insurance required by the Alberta Hockey Association.

We have a limit of 40 kids, and Pre-Registration will open October 1st.

Are you, or someone you know, ready to organize this wonderful, es-

tablished program?

With training and support from the outgoing coordinator, you'll

initiate communication with the community through our newsletter

and community email, register kids, and interface with Hockey Alberta

and our Rink Maintenance team to ensure a rewarding experience for

the community and its kids. This is a wonderful program and the re-

wards of the role far outstrip it’s demands. If you would like to volun-

teer to organize pond hockey, be a rink hero and maintain our awe-
