Kindergarten Enrolments for 2020 Come and enrol now! Enrolments for students who are eligible to attend school in 2020 are now being taken. Eligible students are those who live in zone and turn 5 before July 31st 2020. If you have a child or you know of anyone who has a child who is able to attend school in 2020, please ask them to come and enrol. Applications for enrolments are now being taken at the school office. Attendance at School Parents of children from Kindergarten to Year 12 must ensure their children attend school every day. On occasion, your child may need to be absent from school. Justified reasons for student absences may include:

PBL Expectation Focus This week’s focus for PBL is:

“Respect”

Our PBL focus for this week is “Respect.” Respect is listening when others are speaking and paying attention to all instructions. In the classroom and in all areas within the playground, including when you are at the bus lines, it is important to be respectful. If you respect others, they will respect you.

Stage 2 Cotton Gin Excursion On Wednesday 29 May, all the Stage 2 students went on an excursion to the Southern Cotton Gin. Did you know the word ‘gin’ is short for engine? So cotton gin means cotton engine because machines clean the cotton. When cotton is harvested it should be less than 12% water. There are seeds in cotton and they are used for oil, margarine, soap and cow food. There is about 6 stages of cleaning cotton. When the cotton is harvested it is turned into a module, we saw yellow and pink modules. The pink modules are for cancer and charity. The yellow ones are just normal. We had an awesome day!
