Student Reports Semester 1 reports will be sent home next week. Due to COVID-19, there will be a different format for the Semester 1 report, and no A-E grading will be given. The report will focus on learning that has occurred both at home and at school during Semester 1. If you would like to discuss your child’s report with their classroom teacher please contact the school for a phone interview. School Activities Resuming Next Term Due to COVID-19 some of the school activities we had planned had to be postponed. The activities that will be returning that we have dates for include: School Photos will now be Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 September; Life Education Van will now visit on Monday 27 July-Monday 3 August, permission notes were sent home last week; Multicultural Public Speaking competition will be held in Term 3, via zoom; Premier’s Debating competition will be held during Term 3, via zoom; and Scripture will return next term.

NAIDOC Week Celebrations “Always Was, Always Will Be” NAIDOC Week is usually held from 5 July to the 12 July, however it has been postponed due to COVID-19. Last week the new dates were announced, which are 8 November to 15 November, which is Week 5 Term 4. GNPS will hold our NAIDOC Week celebrations then, as we hope that more community will be able to participate in Term 4, as restrictions may be lifted. Thanking you Mr Arnold

Kindergarten Enrolments for 2021 Come and enrol now! Enrolments for students who are eligible to attend school in 2021 are now being taken. Eligible students are those who live in zone and turn 5 before July 31, 2021. If you have a child or you know of anyone who has a child who is able to attend school in 2021, please ask them to come and enrol. Applications for enrolments are now being taken at the school office. Please present your child’s Immunisation record, Birth Certificate and evidence of 100 points residential address check at the time of application.

Let’s Measure -4M On Thursday 4M and Mrs Triggs went to measure out sand. We put sand into jars and weighed them. Using balance scales we measured out 100g, 200g and 500g. Then we found objects in the class that weighed very similar to the jars. By Kye and Mercades.
