As the company behind the market leading Instrument Landing System (ILS), NORMARC 7000, we can safely say that ILS works well at most airports. Millions of flights have landed safely on the 1400 runways that use our NORMARC ILS.

Yet, we are about to set a new standard within landing systems. The NORMARC 8100 Ground Based Augmentation System is based on Indra’s decades of experience with GPS-based systems. Since 2005, multiple Norwegian airports with challenging topography and rough weather conditions have operated with our SCAT-I system. The NORMARC GAST-D GBAS station is installed at airports such as Frankfurt, Oslo Gardermoen and Tenerife. Major international hubs have started doing test flights, and most new aircraft have GBAS receivers installed.

Single and dual-frequency localizer and slide path options are combined with a wide range of antenna system configurations – including the innovative NORMARC Ultrawide Localizer – to meet all ILS applications for CAT I, II and III operations. From regional airfields to major international hubs, Indra combines the broad portfolio of NORMARC ILS equipment with an extensive capability in implementing complex systems to meet even the most demanding requirements.

Sophisticated antenna arrays of heavy-duty construction maintain ultimate precision throughout the equipment lifetime. The radiating elements of each antenna are made of saltwater-resistant aluminum, and are individually encapsulated in fiberglass radomes to reduce the accumulation of snow, ice or sand.

Designed for the harsh climate of Norway and proven globally, the NORMARC 7000 ILS will operate perfectly in all environmental conditions. All components in the system are carefully selected and conservatively rated for maximum reliability.

The modules that make up the localizer and glide path share a high degree of commonality, reducing the number of spare parts needed.

Featuring the latest digital transmitter technology in a robust design, excellent signal performance is achieved with very low power consumption.
