When it was foundedNike was founded on 1964 with the name Blue Ribbon Sports. Officially became Nike on 1978.It is an United States of America company.

Who created it
The founders are Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. Phil met Bill on 1959 at the University of Oregon where Phil made a major in Bussiness and Bill were an athlete coach.

Where does its name come from?
The company takes its name from “niké”, the greek goddes of victory.
