2015 was a very challenging year. I think for all ofSouth Africa. Even more so in the Corporate SocialInvestment and BEE “World”.

The “cake” has become smaller but the needs somuch more.

We have endeavoured to be much more professionaland to offer better services to our valued partners andclients.

In spite of all we are positive and believe 2016 isgoing to be a great year. Especially for those whohave put so much effort and preparation in, in 2015.

2016 is going to be a great year.

2015 was a year filled with many challenges, and triumphs.Through valued partnerships we were enabled to grow ourFood Distribution beneficiary numbers to a staggering25 000 per week.

By being able to provide for so many in need gives us anamazing, yet humbling sense of accomplishment every day.

Thank you to each of you, for your loyalty, your patience,and especially your feedback. The strides we have been ableto make this past year are due in large to your involvement,interaction and openness with us.

We envisage 2016 to be a year filled with many moreaccomplishments and opportunities to find solutions to allunresolved problems, and look forward to strengtheningexisting partnerships and building new ones.

We enter the New Year with a sense of anticipation,excitement and apprehension all at once; thisshould be par for the course when we look back atthe challenges and achievements of 2015

The challenges being the constant need for funding,resources and the drive to ensure our organisationis correctly placed to benefit from potential donorfunding. The achievements being our ability to seeopportunities where others do not and convertingthese opportunities into sustainable forms offunding or resources.

These opportunities are only possible as result ofour partners who have come alongside ourorganisation with intent of “Making a realdifference” in the lives of our residents of NewBeginnings Care Centre, through the differentdivisions.

Each of these partners has contributed to thesustainability of our organisation and I would liketo list them in no specific order but with gratitudefor their support:

During the latter part of 2015 Eurolux South Africalead by Peter Willig the Managing Director,donated domestic lighting and other accessories toInfinity Stores our retail fundraising initiative to thevalue of R 700K. The lighting and accessories willbe sold through the Infinity Stores our retailfundraising initative and the proceeds will beutilised to sustain our care centre and its residence.

This is an example of the blue print being persuedby New Beginnings to generate other forms ofincome through partnerships and alliances withexisting and potential donors. Eurolux have gonebeyond just the donation of stock, they are alsoproviding employment opportunities to our centreresidents, which is an essential element of theirrehabilitation programme. We trust that thispartnership will be an example of how NPO's andDonors can collaborate to serve the community.

I am excited at the opportunities that 2016 willpresent and that these opportunities will enable usto reach more people and communities.
