The springtime in North Florida is glorious! Cool mornings, warm days, pleasant eve-nings and then is starts again. The flowers are starting to boom, the birds are singing and the squirrels are chattering, it feels like all of creation is waking up from its wintertime nap. Is it any wonder that in the middle of this springtime awakening we also celebrate the ultimate day of renewal, rebirth, resurrection actually, Easter? Easter is our day of new beginnings, it is the day that takes the sting out of death, and allows us to forever celebrate life. Easter is the gift of God's eternal Grace, wrapped up in nature's season of life. The Grace of Easter is taught to us through the life that made the tomb an empty place. The Grace of Easter allows us to live as though we exist in perpetual springtime. Easter allows us to for-ever be growing in mind, body and faith. Easter allows for us to question and doubt, and then allows us to be-lieve and grow, Easter is God's invitation to join and participate in the family of faith. During this season of life, I invite you to participate in the Christian hope of eternal life. Spend some time in prayer, take a walk outside, enjoy the gifts that God has blessed us with, be warmed by the sunshine on your face, come and worship with your church family, count your gifts and blessings, thank God for Grace and Hope, feel the Spirit prepare your heart, mind and soul for faith, and once again, welcome the Son into your life. Peace, Chris

Pack 201 is proud to announce that Wilson Roberts, Kamren Smith, Emory Layerd, Gabe Stephens and Chase Drude all hold the arrow of light award and have successfully crossed over to Boy Scouts.

This is the highest award in cub scouts and prepares the boys for their Boy Scout career.

They have joined Troop 201 making it the largest Troop in the area.

One Great Hour of Sharing April 20, 2014

For more than fifty years, Presbyterians have joined with Christians throughout the nation in

supporting One Great Hour of Sharing, responding to Christ's love for all people by joyfully

sharing that love with people in need. The refugee and the stranger have found food and safe

shelter; those stunned by the aftermath of disasters have found relief and help rebuilding; and communities

seeking to take control of their future have found partners in development. Presbyterians' gifts support the

work of The Presbyterian Committee for the Self-Development of People, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance,

and the Presbyterian Hunger Program. The hundreds of millions of dollars Presbyterians have given over the

last half century have enabled a powerful witness to the love of the One who came that all might have life

more abundantly. Please take the opportunity on Sunday, April 20th, to support this cause.

HELPING HANDS The Missions and Outreach and Faith in Action committees are joining together to start a new service for our members. If you need small jobs done around the house, we are here to help.

Need light bulbs changed? We can help.

Need a ramp built? We can help.

Small cleaning jobs, some yard work, small repair jobs, consultation on what to do about a bigger job, something you can no longer handle yourself? We can help.

If you have a need, just let us know by dropping a card in the Helping Hands box or by calling the church office at 627-6576. We will contact you about getting the job done.

If you would like to be a part of this exciting new service, call the church office or Sheryl Hinson at 627-9076, and we will add your name to our list of volunteers.

Spring has Sprung! And we are on count down till Easter. Thanks to everyone who has made our Lent season so enjoyable. The Lenten Lunches have been great and the “visitor” each week during the morning worship service has been very inspiring. We will continue to have a special “visitor” each Sunday until Easter.

Youth Fellowship will be participating in a few more activities before the school year is complete: Sr. High will go to Emerald Crest for beach retreat May 2-4th.

Route 456 will be going to the Tallahassee Rock Gym on April 10th to climb the rock walls. Cost is $20.00 per person.

Easter Egg Hunt April 15th (3-5pm) for ages 3 years to 3rd grade. We will need candy to stuff eggs (please no chocolate).

Looking forward to a great remainder of Lent and wonderful Resurrection Sunday!
