Networking online is similar to whatyou’ve been doing your whole life, but
you get to look at a wider range ofpeople
Being active on social networkswill make you more findable
Before you do anything else, youhave to figure out what you stand for
You probably already know aboutFacebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Have you ever considered Dribbble,Pinterest, Behance or Geeklist?
Do you have a personal website? How about Google Reader?
Having so many options meansthat we need to set goals - both
large and small
Have an end goal in mind, butdon’t be married to it
Think of smaller goals that willmake you happy in the
meantime and set you on thepath toward your end goal
Who do you want to meet?
Where can they be found? What are their key interests?
Begin conversations online - cansomeone introduce you?
If not, how can you get theirattention and create conversation?
Conversations must eventuallymove offline for lasting effects
Will you meet in a group/eventsetting, or one-on-one?
Be prepared
