Second Grade Animal Studies

My animal is a giraffe. The giraffe is a mammal. The giraffe has brown posts. Every giraffe has its

own unique pattern of brown spots. The giraffe has its babies born alive. When a baby giraffe is born

they call it a calf. The giraffe is a mammal which means that it is warm blooded. Warm blooded

animals are birds and mammals. Since the giraffe is a mammal, it nurses its babies. Since the giraffe

is a mammal it breaths with lungs (that’s the same thing as us).

The giraffe lives in a savanna in Africa where acacia trees grow. Giraffes eat the acacia leaves and

mostly get their water from them.

I picked the giraffe to report on because I love animals, especially the giraffe because it is the tallest

animal on earth.
