Junior classes are humming, with most of them preparing for camps and all of them working toward their curriculum goals. Senior secondary students are all focused on their coming exams and the finalisation of many of their internal assessment tasks. We also have our year 7 to 13 students working hard to prepare for their performance at Te Hui Ahurei o nga Kapa Haka o te Tai Poutini in Hokitika on the 29th October. It is wonderful seeing how these students are supporting each other and working towards a shared goal. A notice went home earlier this week with the consent and medical forms for that trip. This is a timely opportunity to remind parents, caregivers and students that these forms need to be returned next week. I am sure none of our students will want to let their peers down by leaving gaps in the line-up through not attending on the day. Parents/caregivers and whanau are most welcome to attend the performance. We will let you all know once we have a confirmed time slot for our participation. I am really looking forward to seeing and hear- ing their performance and I am sure many of you are too. Don’t forget that senior students only have three weeks of classes left and they should be well on with their home study plans and revision. The seniors finishing up means their prize giving is imminent, and Field Day follows the day after that event. I hope your children are preparing their pets and practicing their Young Farmer skills for the day!
