Going for the Green Pro Am

Mike Midgette has started a nonprofit called ‘Going for the Green’ and he is hosting a Pro Am at the PGA National Champ Course on April 13th.

Shotgun at 1:30pm, 2 Best Ball Modified Scramble (Choose best tee shot and two best scores from there).

There will be a $150 appearance fee for pros, a skins game, and a small purse for the top 3 teams' professionals. It's $500 an amateur to play

which includes Golf, Cart, Caddie, Lunch, & Awards Dinner.

Frank Bensel Wins Stroke Play Championship!

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Frank Bensel made a 15-footbirdie putt on the first playoff hole and then made a partwo holes later to win the PGA Stroke PlayChampionship.

Bensel was facing elimination when David Muttitt rolledin a 25-birdie putt on the first playoff hole Tuesday atPGA Golf Club. But Bensel matched that birdie andwent on to claim his fifth PGA Winter Championship.

Congratulations to New Head Professionals

Indian Hills Golf Club utilized the PGA Merchandise Show inannouncing the hiring of new PGA Head Professional AaronMueller. Aaron, formerly an assistant professional, previously spentfour seasons each at Nassau Country Club and Huntington CountryClub working under PGA Professionals Drew Pohalski and JimSmoot respectively.

Hudson Hills GC announced that Matt Belizze will be their new PGAHead Professional. Originally from Westchester County, Matt spentthe last five seasons on Long Island working under Dave Preston atSouthward Ho.
