KNOW YOUR ADVISOR

Try to meet with your advisor at the beginning of the semester. Don’t wait until the last minute..

To find out who your advisor is:

• Go on “Nest”

• Scroll down the “Home” menu

• Click on “Degree works” on Degree audit panel

• There you will see who your advisor is, your GPA, your classes, etc.

CHECK YOUR EMAIL EVERYDAY

• Always be ready for the unexpected.

• Always have your email notifications on for school.

• If there are any events on campus, changes to certain class rooms/scheduled dates, or unexpected weather changes or traffic you will be instantly notified.

CHECK YOUR HOLDSBefore the end of every semester (2 weeks before) go on Nest and make sure you don’t have any “Holds” on your account.

Holds are:

• Unfulfilled financial aid requirements

• Unfulfilled FAFSA requirements

• Parking tickets

• Late fees

• Make sure you don’t have any holds so that you can register for the next semester of classes. If you have have overdue holds, you may be deregistered from classes you are

already enrolled in.

• Check your holds on Nest!

• If you don’t have any holds-

you're good!
