SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS FOR LATINO SUAVE MAGAZINE:

Latino SUAVE Magazine

November 2005 – February 2008

Monica was Publisher and Writer for a 100-plus English/Spanish page magazine covering

Latino affairs and culture. She chose the stories, the covers, and the photos from the photo

shoots. She also attended interviews, finalized the run lists, editorial calendars and publicity,

among other duties for the magazine. During her tenure, the magazine interviewed, featured and

published articles on major political figures, entertainers, professionals, and national leaders. An

example of the interviewees were: Edward James Olmos, Esai Morales, Amaury Nolasco, Jorge

Perez, Pete Martinez, Rebecca Vigil-Giron, Michael Barrera, Yrma Rico, Lance Cpl. Jose

Sanchez, Eduardo Najera, Lloyd Chavez Sr., etc. They were athletes, actors, actresses,

astronauts, entrepreneurs, artists, fashion designers, scientists, models, doctors, health

professionals, and education specialists; we told some great stories of perseverance! We

videotaped some as well! These stories transformed many lives nationwide and in a quick two

year period of time!

She attended the Leadership Exchange to Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Montreal and Dallas with the Denver Metro Chamber
