City Tour

1. Aims to get students acquainted with Rotterdam

2. Transportation3. Show you were to

feed yourself, AH, Dirk van den Broek etc.

4. Attractions, gyms5. Architectural

interests:Rotterdam Centraal, Delftse Poort, kubushuis, Witte Huis, Erasmusbrug etc.

Design Concept Exercise1. With a background of the city tour, students will gather in a

circle and design a private room for the member to their left. Students will therefore be both the client and the designer.

2. During consultations, clients will be asked to select preferences from a list of options for their private room in a shared apartment.

3. Each client will have 100 points to allocate options which will reflect personal & / or cultural backgrounds.

Constraints

• Size of design must be kept to less than 350m2

• Students must submit one design.• Design must ultimately contain dutch design

developments. Be it sustainability, using less, etc.• Judges will be chosen from faculty and local industry

members• The time space for the above activity is 5 days.

Results

• Best design to be chosen from those submitted• Team of chosen design will win vouchers for Ikea
