Michelle J. Ware, Founder and President of MJN Engineering, LLC., has supported several federalagencies as a Consultant for LMI in McLean, Virginia. Her recent work involved developing andimplementing the asset management plan for the Capitol Grounds Jurisdiction of the Architect ofthe Capitol; in addition has experience with a business case analysis of several Army Garrisons forIMCOM municipal contract services, she has also supported the US Coast Guard's ShoreInfrastructure Program with federal energy related requirements. She has supported theDepartment of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Environmental Management as an engineer managing thereal property asset management program for real estate, energy, and utility managementcompliance issues. She also supported DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration on studiesrelated to facilities and infrastructure management.
At DCWater, Michelle served as the Mechanical Services Manger in the Department of Facilitiesand Security, responsible for the program and project management of commercial and industrialHVAC systems, domestic plumbing systems, and fire protection systems throughout the Authority.As a Principal Research Associate for Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Washington DCProjects Office, Michelle supported DOE’s Federal Energy Management Program researchingenergy efficient commercial building technologies for FEMP’s federal procurement program. Earlyin her career, Michelle worked as an Energy Engineer performing energy audits, feasibility studies,and market research for Pepco’s demand side management rebate programs. She also worked as aCertification Engineer certifying various HVAC equipment for the Air Conditioning andRefrigeration Institute. Michelle has published technical papers and reports on building systemsand business case analyses. Michelle served as PHI’s program manager for net energy meteringand interconnections across its three utilities
Michelle earned a Masters in Engineering Management from the George Washington University(‘97 MEM) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute ofTechnology (‘92 BSME). In 2014, Michelle earned the Association of Energy Engineer’s designationof Certified Energy Manager (ANSI accredited 2014).
