Group aaaembliy was over Cotteamore Buncher and was accomplished in good time, the assembl y was complete approximatel y 8 minutes be~or• departure ti:me.

o. Route Over En§landa

Departed Bunoher on ttme and briefed route over England was fol­lowed on time at all points to Control Point f 1 where Division assembly took plaoe. The 94th "c" fell into proper division position at this point. Coast was departed on t~e, on course.

4. Attacka

a . FliGht to Target a

Br iefed poaitionf 9 in Division was held to target. The route over the continent was somewhat north ot course as 94th "C" followed the Group ahead. At the IP the column made a long turn so in order to ...._, in proper position 94th "c" had to make an even longer turn. the weat r closed in about 20 miles from the IP and so a PFF r un waa announced.

b . Bombing !2,•

'l'he Group swung around the IP because or the preceding Groupe and ttnally headed for the target . about 8 minutes late. trom a point about 16 miles west of the briefed IP. The Uickey operator had control all the time and n-.ade a good .PFF run. The Hombardier checked tho rate and it checked very well . Bo~ ing was dono in group formntion . The Group Lead and Deputy salvoedJ the Low and High Squadron Leaders alvoed on the smoke marker o~ the Group LeadJ all others used a 76 rt. intervalo• meter aetting. The AFCE was excel lent.

c . Flight from Target a

After leaving target Group was forced to tall behind lst Combat in in order to tollaw briefed route out . It was still in f 9 position,

however . as it came out. The coast out was ,....4. on course at 20, 000 tt.

d . Return to Baser

Let dcnm. was de over c el and cDarse in was made at Cromer at s ,ooo•. Froa there to Kings Lynn and shortl y thereafter high and low squadrons .. re dispatched to stand-off areas. The landing was normal with good vlaibilitT, all ships l.nding aafely at home base.
