Honors Language Arts Summary

Honors English Language Arts coursework follows the

grade level curriculum at an accelerated pace,

examining topics on deeper and more complex levels

while making cross curricular connections and

emphasizing individuality and creativity.

Math

Grade 6 Honors:

Uses a combination of 6th & 7th grade standards. Major

Projects are implemented.

Grade 7 Pre-Algebra Honors:

Combines 7th and 8th grade standards.

Increase pace and rigor.

Grade 8 Algebra Honors:

This is a true high school algebra course, no 8th grade

standards are used. All 8th graders take Algebra PARCC.

This class moves to either Honors Geometry or College Prep

Geometry in high school.
