Vermentino Les Vignes de L’Eglise (Languedoc, FRA)Clean, bright, aromatic & full of fresh vibrant fruit with honeysuckle notes alongside peach & pear aromas. Well balanced & crisp on the palate with a firm acidity & gentle sweetness on the finish.

Villa Montes Sauvignon Blanc (Valle Central, CHL) Crisp, dry & zingy, fresh & flavoursome & grassy with a bright balance of zesty citrus fruit & racy acidity. Flavoursome like New World wines. Elegant & stylish like Old World Sauvignon.

Quinta De Azevedo Vinho Verde (Vinho Verde, POR)Lemon-yellow in colour with hints of green as is from this region (vinho verde translates to ‘Green Wine’) Intense floral aromas of roses & orange blossom. Elegant minerality & a very slight fizz. Lively & well balanced with a long citrus finish.

La Giustiniana, Gavi di Gavi ‘Lugara’ (Piedmont, ITA) Pure, zesty & unoaked we get notes of fresh apples & pears & stone fruit on the nose. The palate is much riper with lush golden apples, fresh almonds & honey. Well balanced, fresh acidity & good structure combine to give that charismatic lively twist on the finish found in all good Gavi’s.

Domaine de Bel Air Pouilly Fume (Loire, FRA)For anyone that doesn’t know, Pouilly Fume is a Classic French wine... & this is a fine example! Pale lemon in colour, its notes of crisp citrus fruit & subtle white flowers shine through instantly. The firm, mineral palate follows with an excellent balance of fine, almost salty acidity, intense lemon, flint & pear flavours & a lovely long finish. It’s a literal medium bodied mineral explosion!

Ca Dei Frati Lugana “Brolettino” (Lombardy, ITA)From the vineyards at Ca Dei Frati, this fantastic wine’s excellent balance & great structure follow on effortlessly from the initial explosion of stone fruits & vanilla spice aromas on the nose. The palate reveals rich peach characters & a creamy texture lifted by its stony minerality, whilst the finish is long, concentrated & fresh. Rich. Creamy. Delicious. Drink, & be delighted.

Borgo Selene Nero d’Avola Nerello Mascalese (Sicily, ITA) This delicious blend is ruby red in colour with fresh notes of red berries, cherries & plums. Round and smooth on the palate it has lovely soft tannins with spiced cherry perfumes on the finish. Bronze medal winner 2016 Sommelier Wine Awards.

Ca’ di Alte Pinot Nero (Veneto, ITA)Light & fresh aromas of ripe cherries, liquorice and perfumed flowers. Juicy & balanced with a decent depth of flavour on the palate and a great long finish. Puts many a Bourgogne Pinot Noir to shame.

Kaiken Mendoza Malbec Reserve (Mendoza, ARG) Deep purple in colour, the ripe fruit aromas of strawberries & cherries are nicely complemented with spicy notes and menthol aromas. On the palate, there’s extraordinary balance, freshness & soft tannins.

Alpha Zeta ‘R’ Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso (Veneto, ITA) The traditional Ripasso technique of adding fermented skins & seeds from Amarone wine to the Valpolicella batch goes a long way in explaining the opulence and richness of this wine. Red & black cherries on the nose and intense ripe plum and cherry flavours on the palate, it’s full bodied yet supple in structure and throws bags of character your way. Soft, lavish and a wonderfully long finish.

Vigne Marina Coppi ‘Sant Andrea’ Barbera (Piedmont, ITA) Lovely bright ruby red colour with a bouquet of cherries & wild strawberries that holds a superb intensity of flavour and remains through to the finish. Rounded, supple and complex with delicious fresh fruit character, this is such a bright & youthful wine that is sure to carry anti-ageing properties....but don’t quote me on that!!

Poggio San Polo Rosso Di Montalcino (Tuscany, ITA)100% Sangiovese grapes go into this utter gem from Montalcino in Tuscany. Bright & glossy in the glass, it sits with an almost effortless elegance. On the nose, aromas of fresh berries, Morello cherries & blackberries are complimented by a hint of vanilla spice. Fragrant & intense with smooth, finely balanced tannins and a persistent aromatic finish that just keeps on going!

Alpha Zeta ‘A’ Amarone (Veneto, ITA)Deeply intense and perfumed with hints of dried cherries, blueberries and spiced Autumn fruits on the nose. Get this into your mouth and its powerful but with a delicate balance and spiced, intensely concentrated cherries. A subtle touch of smoke completes the juicy, long finish with tannins so ripe and soft, they’re almost nonexistent!

G.D. Vajra Barolo (Piedmont, ITA) A traditionalist Barolo here with fine hints of red fruits, plums, wild sage & floral notes and just a touch of that wonderful, fresh ‘pine needle’ character associated with the Alpine regions. A harmony of sophisticated and delicate flavours supported by fine, ripe tannins, a definite Nebbiolo crunch and effortless, elegant acidity from one of the finest producers of Artisan wines in Piedmont. Delicious sweet cherry aromas and subtle floral notes give way to a fresh, fruity palate that has bags of vibrant red fruit character and a dry, fragrant finish.

Cantina di Monteforte Pinot Grigio Rosato(Veneto, ITA) Fruity, yet dry, this Salmon-pink wine has fine and delicate aromas of red cherries and strawberries that instantly draw you in. The hints of strawberries continue on the palate with fresh, intense flavours and lovely medium dry finish.

Cantina Colli Euganei Prosecco Spumante (Veneto, ITA) Straw yellow in colour with green hues and a fine persistent mousse. Aromas are fresh and fruity with subtle floral hints. It’s soft and lively without being too aggressive or overly effervescent. A fabulous example of the slightly sweeter Extra Dry style Prosecco.

Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, Villa Caldini (Emilia-Romagna, ITA) Wonderfully ruby red with plenty of bright bubbles, it is bright & fresh on the nose with pronounced concentrated fruits. Delicate, tangy and well balanced with a fabulously refreshing acidity and long finish of forest fruits to cap off this juicy, bubbly red beauty!

Charles Heidsieck NV Rose Reserve (Champagne, FRA) Almost coral-like in colour, this a deliciously fresh wine which expresses the complexity of the Charles Heidsieck spirit perfectly. On the nose it gives intense fresh strawberry aromas alongside a jamminess with hints of peach and warm notes of cinnamon & brioche. A lively, vivacious palate full of red fruit, a silky-rich texture and good minerality. A touch of citrus caps off this decadent Champagne.

Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Millenaires 1995 (Champagne, FRA) What an utterly exceptional wine this is! It’s made from 100% Chardonnay, and with 22 years complexity it displays all the noble characteristics of mature Chardonnay and its incredible potential for ageing. Pale gold in colour with subtle pale green hues, it is surprisingly bright & shiny considering it’s over 20 years old. The bouquet is balanced with a wonderful richness and distinct pastry aromas expressing full buttery notes, intense cinnamon and vanilla spice. In the mouth, you get the pleasure of enjoying the wines silky notes of candied apricots, quince, dried fruits, hazelnuts and almonds. It has a stunning concentration of flavours and is reaching its highest points of power, complexity, elegance and refinement only available to the very, very best in Champagne. An absolute masterpiece.
