T he I International Internship of Internal Medicine is a theoretical-
practical course, with rotations for three weeks in the largest public
health institution in the Central Region of Venezuela, in the area of
Internal Medicine and subspecialties such as Neurology, Cardiology,
Neumology, Nephrology and Emergency Medicine.
Directed towards undergraduate medical students who speak Spanish,
this course focuses on academic and cultural exchange, seeks to open
borders, unify knowledge and strengthen ties of fellowship among participant
universities.
This internship is organized by the Standing Committee on International
Relations and Exchange of the Medical Students Scientific Society of the
University of Carabobo - Valencia (SOCEM UCSV), together with consultants,
teachers and collaborators of wide and recognized path, at the Faculty of
Health Sciences of the University of Carabobo, one of main and most
prestigious educational institutions of Venezuela.

DATE
socemucsv.wordpress.com
Vigorize knowledge and training in the future medical professionals, in the
area of Internal Medicine and subspecialties such as Neurology, Cardiology,
Neumology, Nephrology and Emergency Medicine, to forge skills within their
continuing education.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
OVERVIEW
1. Develop theoretical-practical activities intended to strengthen knowledge
about the therapeutic medical field.
2. Implement resolutive techniques in the emergency practice, in order to
optimize the clinical skills of the interns, as a contribution to their
professional training.
3. Strengthen inter-institutional relations, stimulating the fellowship between
the guests and the local students, generating academic, social and
cultural Exchange at the same time.
The versatile nature of Internal Medicine gives it its wide field of action. The
ability to effectively handle cases, perhaps clinically impossible to resolve
positively, has expanded borders in this area. Therefore, it’s fair to invest efforts
and time in the preparation of academic and extraacademic courses, in
order to acquire greater abilities and skills, to take them to the daily practice
with the greatest possible success, minimizing adversities.
This internship is also the ideal opportunity to assemble previous
experiences with unique trends in Emergency Medicine, where young people
will exchange knowledge and execute practices that will optimize their skills.

where we get after a boat trip of a few minutes. The
beaches of Morrocoy are spectacular, underneath them, fishes and corals

SOCIOCULTURAL PLAN
THE CREOLE GERMANY: A BIT OF ANOTHER CONTINENT
O ver the beautiful valleys of Aragua State,
we find one of the most charming places
of Venezuela, with astonishing landscapes like the
Black Forest (Schwarzwald) of the south-west of
Germany. Nailed in the Venezuelan Coastal Range,
Colonia Tovar was founded by settlers who came
to our country in 1843. Many of its ancestral
traditions, such as language, food, clothing and dancing are still preserved.
In your visit to Colonia Tovar, you can enjoy its beautiful landscapes,
excellent restaurants, savor the exquisite dishes of German cuisine,
accompanying them with a great beer (produced in the colony itself) and
taste their typical dessert, strawberries with cream. Besides, you can visit its
beautiful church and its museum, buy the traditional handicrafts, take a tour
around the place and, in a good weather, fly paragliding.
Date: July 29
Time: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Colonia Tovar, Tovar, Aragua
