Also a SBB mustbe able to complete certain tasks like collecting andprocessing blood. We must be able to preform routineand specialized blood tests. Also we have to be ableto figure out a patients blood type by moleculartesting. Our job is to support the doctor and theirpatients in case of an emergency, transfusion,surgery, and so on. Usually a medical technologistwork forty or more hours a week. 12. Why???I have always been interested in health science. Itamazes me how a tiny platelet can save a life. Thatswhat I really want to do. I want to make an impact onthis earth and help people. I could have been a nurseor a doctor but in reality they would not be able to dotheir job if it was not for the blood specialist doing thelittle important work.
