Following the Sunday mass, take a quick stroll over to the Immaculate Conception Hall and enjoy a wonderful chicken dinner, complete with home made desserts!! Adults $8, Children $4, Chicken Only $4. HOLY LAND – Please take the time to read the letter from Most Rev. Edward U. Kmiec, Bishop concerning our second collection on Good Friday. STATIONS OF THE CROSS & SCRIPTURE REFLECTION: Fridays in April 7:00 pm in Pavilion CONFESSIONS/RECONCILIATION during Holy Week in Leroy at St. Peter’s site: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7 – 8 pm; Good Friday at 10 – 11 am, 1:30 – 2:30 PM, and 7 –8 pm; Holy Saturday at 10 – 11 am and 3 – 4 pm. In Batavia at St. Joseph’s site: Communal Penal Service Monday 7 pm CATHOLIC CHARITIES - If you haven’t received your card yet, you should be receiving it in the next few days. If you don’t receive it by then, please contact the rectory office for a card to be forwarded to you. Our volunteers will be available only on the Sundays of April 10th and April 17th to accept in-person contributions. Please note, we have a new parish number for Mary Immaculate of #1025. This should be noted on your donation card as well as on your check memo. All checks should be made payable to “Catholic Charities.” We have noted that some parishioners received mailing envelopes that showed your contribution to be mailed to Catholic Charities in Buffalo, while others had window envelopes with their contribution being mailed to our parish. We don’t know why. However, to save postage, if you received the window envelope, simply place it in the collection. If you received the envelope addressed to Catholic Charities, please mail it directly to save our volunteers processing time. WELCOME HOME – Della Swede, mother of Gary Swede, returned home to our Lord this past week. May she share in the eternal banquet of Heaven. LADIES OF CHARITY MEETING – will be Thursday, April 14th at 1 pm in Conlin Hall. All ladies are encouraged to come – ALL LADIES ARE WELCOME!! QUILT RAFFLE – Our Ladies of Charity, through the talents and generosity of Pauline Kegler, have a queen size quilt, which will be raffled off at our last fund raiser event of 2011. If you know of any place that would be willing to sell tickets for us, please let us know and we will provide a color poster and tickets. Black and white posters are also available – take as many as you need and can properly display. BREAKFAST BUFFET - This Sunday, April 10th is the Pavilion Central Junior Class Breakfast Buffet at BW’s Restaurant. First serving is at 9 am and second serving at 10 am. Menu includes eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage, hash browns, muffins, milk, juice and coffee. Cost is $8 Adults, $5 children age 5-10, under 5 free. Tickets are available from any 2012 class member. Juniors Jared Ethington and Olivia Greip are our parishioners. Tickets are also available at the door. There will be a special surprise visit from our favorite spring rabbit and an Easter Egg coloring station for the kids. All proceeds go directly to the Class of 2012. We apologize for the conflict with our own BBQ but we were unaware when we scheduled our BBQ that this event would be taking place. “THE WORD AMONG US” This is a monthly subscription that gives a complete Catholic Mass and Daily Meditations. It is similar to the Five Minutes With the Word, only much more. If we can get 25 people to subscribe, the price would be approximately $20 for your subscription. If you would like to subscribe, please sign up on the sheet at the entrance of the Church. No money yet. When we get everyone interested signed up, we’ll let you know how to pay for your subscription. REMAINING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES: Only two classes left ! They are: May 1st and May 22nd. FIRST COMMUNION will be Saturday, May 7th at 4 pm in Pavilion. SICK LIST – If you have asked for someone to be placed on the sick list and that individual has now recovered, please let us know we so we can remove that name. As always, we ask everyone to say special prayers for our loved ones who are ill.

ST.JOHN OF THE CROSS- 10 classes from March 31 – June 9. The study of The Spiritual Canticle, The Ascent of Mt. Carmel and The Dark Night of the Soul using original texts of John of the Cross supplemented with contemporary scholarship. Held at St. Joseph Center for Spirituality, 4975 Strickler Rd, Clarence. PERMANENT DEACON CLASS The Inquiry class for permanent deacons to begin in September. Are you a man between 30 and 55 with a desire to serve the Church in ways beyond your current service? God may be calling you to find out more about the Permanent Diaconate. An information session is scheduled for Saturday, April 16th at 9 am at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s Site) in the church hall. Attendance at this session is required for consideration for the fall of 2011 class. Wives of interested men are most welcome and encouraged to attend. UNITED WAY “DAY OF CARING” will be held on Wednesday, May 18th from 8 am – 3 pm and will offer volunteers the opportunity to work together to make a difference in our community. Volunteer goal for 2011 is 300 in order to complete the anticipated 30 projects this year. If you are interested, please call the United Way at 343-8141. LITTLE FLOWERS GIRLS’ CLUB is a Catholic program for girls age 5 and up and is based on learning Catholic virtues through the lives of Catholic saints, Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. CARE BAG PROJECT – As you may remember, the Ladies of Charity have been putting together Care Bags, which are distributed to families who have loved ones in the hospital. Especially needed are individually packaged toothbrushes. Donations of other smaller items such as small pocket size crossword puzzles & word games, small tubes of toothpaste, candy bars or any other smaller type items would be appreciated.
