Margaret Ellman is the administrator for the QWGA website (QWGA.wordpress.com).

Anyone can post information by requesting “Author” permission. Send a note to

margaret_ellman@yahoo.com request permission.

You will receive an e-mail list this:

Accept the invitation and follow instructions to create wordpress login. To work on

the QWGA web site, you will log into QWGA.wordpress.com/admin using the id

and password you created.

Once you are logged into Wordpress, you can post information. To create a post,

move cursor onto “Post” and click on “Add New”

This will open a template to create your post. Fill in the title and information here.

It a good idea to save your work and preview your post at regular intervals.

If you want to add clipart, you will need to search the internet for the image. See example below.

When you find an image you like, click on it with your left mouse button and full image will appear.

Place cursor on the image and click on the right mouse button. Select “Copy image.”

Go back to your Wordpress window and put the cursor in the body of the post and press “ctrl “ and “V” at the

same time. The image will appear in the body of the post.

Most likely, you will have to resize the image. To do this, just drag the corners of the image to make the

image larger or smaller.

You can position the text around the image to the sides, above, or below the image. Experiment and

preview.

If you like the preview, you are ready to publish. Close the preview tab and go back to the post you are

creating. Click on the “Publish” button.

Congratulations! You have posted onto the QWGA website. Your post can be seen by anyone visiting the

QWGA.wordpress.com “Home” page. It will also be sent as an e-mail to everyone who is following QWGA.

You can also include pictures and links to documents (PDFs) in your posts by uploading the file into the

“Media Library” and then inserting it into the post. Pictures will be embedded into the post and a hot link will

be inserted pointing to the document.
