The quality of the maps used has a major influence on the quality of the Census.

Maps guide the enumerator to the dwellings they need to enumerate, as well as other areas where people may be located during enumeration

The enumeration area formed when creating the maps can also form the basis for dissemination of output,can be used as the building block in a geographic classifications

used to manage the enumeration process.
