Bring it to a boil, reduce heat & let simmer for 5 minutes. Add your fruit, let fruit sim-mer in sauce for 10 minutes, stirring often. Maple BBQ Beans 1 can Pork & Beans 1 can Light Kidney Beans, rinsed, drained 1 can Dark Kidney Beans, rinsed, drained 1 can Black Beans, rinsed, drained 1/2# cooked, chopped bacon or ham 1 large chopped green bell pepper 1 large chopped onion 1/2 C Pure Ohio Maple Syrup 1 C BBQ Sauce - any BBQ Sauce 2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped for a little heat, add some chopped jalapenos Combine all of the above ingredients in a large crock-pot. Cook on low for 8 hours. This is a great recipe! A whole meal done in the crock-pot. Some easy variations ~ you can use most kinds of meat for this. It’s great to make using all your leftovers from the week. You can also add potatoes. Serve this along with warm cornbread, topped with butter & Pure Maple Syrup

Maple-Mustard Green Beans 2lbs green beans, ends trimmed 2tsp extra-virgin olive oil2TBSP coarse-grained Dijon mustard 2TBSP chopped scallions3TBSP balsamic vinegar Sea salt1 ½ TBSP Pure Ohio Maple SyrupFreshly ground black pepper to tasteNOTE ~ choose slender, crisp green beans that are bright and blemish free. Avoid mature beans with large seeds and swollen pods. Cook the beans in a saucepan, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil over high heat. Add beans and cook uncovered until crisp-ten-der. (Begin checking after 5 minutes) Drain and place beans in a serving bowl. Prepare the dressing while beans are cooking, in a small bowl whisk together the mustard, vinegar, Pure Maple syrup and oil.Pour dressing over hot beans, and mix to coat well, then sprinkle with scallions. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Maple Apple Pie Prepared double crust for 9” pie 5 cups fresh picked apples, peeled and sliced 3/4 cup Pure Ohio Maple Syrup 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional) Maple granulated sugar (optional but really adds to the pie) Maple granulated sugar (optional but really adds to the pie)PREHEAT oven to 425 F. degrees. Place peeled and sliced apples in pie shell. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl, and pour over apples. Place top crust over filling, cut steam vents, and sprinkle with maple sugar (optional). Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce oven heat to 350 F. degrees and continue baking 25 to 30 minutes. Yield: 8 delicious servings. Serve warm with Vanilla Ice Cream...!!!

Maple Ginger Cake 2/3 cup white sugar 1/4 cup pure Ohio maple syrup2 Tbsp shortening 1/2 cup sour milk1 egg beaten 1 tsp ginger1 tbs soda 1 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups flour1/4 cup molasses Mix ingredients in order as given, beat well, & bake @ 350°F for 35-40 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream & pure maple syrup poured over it.
