BEDROCK GEOLOGY AND PROJECTS’ AREAS
REGIONAL GOLD EXPLORATION
LUSAHUNGA PROJECT
PROTEROZOIC REGIONS OF NW TANZANIA
• PROJECT: Lusahunga South PL 6348/2010; 100% Makwini Resources• METALLOGENIC REGION: Nyakahura-Burigi Province, west of Sukumaland Province
• PROJECT GENERATION APPROACH – Gold project in under-explored older terranes covered by relatively young rocks.– Gold in higher-order structures proximal to the major lithotectonic contacts.
• GEOLOGY – Archean granitoid-greenstones covered by the KAB east of the Tectonic Zone.– Archean inliers deeply weathered greenstones and strongly deformed granitoids
• WORK COMPLETED– Detailed geological mapping, geochemical sampling and analyses of the soil samples by
NITON XRF analyzer– >2km of NITON XRF >100-875 ppm Cu, 12.5% Fe and 130-358 ppm As in soil anomalies– coincident with >1.5kmX10-60m Au-hosting quartz-veins in shear-foliated schist/phyllite
• FUTURE WORK– Samples submitted to SGS Laboratories for fire gold assaying– Results have not yet been received.
LUSAHUNGA SOUTH GOLD PROJECT
LUSAHUNGA PROJECT: WORK COMPLETED
IMMEDIATE FUTURE WORK:
NYAMWIRONGE
MAGANZO
• >1400m DD drilling proposed
• Test the down-dip persistence/strike extension of the gold-hosting lithostructures in the prospects.
REGIONAL GOLD EXPLORATION
NEWLY DEFINED BELTS, CENTRAL TANZANIA REGION
KITUNDA BLOCK: regional geology
PL 6166/2009
PL 5090/2008
PL 81372012
• PROJECT GENERATION APPROACH: – Grassroots projects from underexplored greenstone belts, Kitunda-Rungwa District,
Dodoman System Goldfields, Central Tanzania Region • PROJECTS:
– Kitunda Hills (PL 5090/2008); Cheyo (PL 8137/2012); Kitunda North (6166/2009). • TARGET:
– High-grade (> 5 g/t Au) gold-mineralised shear zones from Cheyo and Kitunda Prospects.
• WORK COMPLETED and RESULTS – Ashanti in 2003 outlined >1.2km x 400m of >20-45-ppb Au in soil anomalies– Infill and step out soil sampling by Makwini– NITON XRF As-Cu-Fe anomalies over >6km X 3km block– Geology and soil sampling defined NW-SE- trending corridors
• FUTURE WORK– Drill targets: >1200m of exploratory DDH @ 200m planned– Drill targets: >5200m of RC sampling to test coincidental Au-As and NITON XRF As-Cu-
Fe

MKURUMU-MAGAMBA TERRANE: GEOLOGY
• PROJECT: Mkurumu SW (PL 6902/2011); 119.5 km2 100% Makwini Resources
• TARGET : Orogenic gold deposits in sulphidic-quartz-silicate veins in mildly reworked proto-Neo-archean mafic-felsic gneisses.
• GEOLOGY – Largely covered by regolith cover, bedrock comprising E-W-trending mafic amphibolite,
ortho and para-gneisses– Mildly overprinted by NW-SE-trending tectonothermal events– Broken down into compartments along N-S-trending faults
• EXPLORATION WORK COMPLETED AND RESULTS– 2003 Kabete: >8km x 150-600m of 100-720ppb Au in soil anomalies at Mkurumu– Motivated AETL to JV with Mafulira Village Mining Company (MVMC).– Drilling only 2700m DD….not enough to test potential– MAKWINI: NITON XRF As-Fe-Cu anomalies coincident with AETL’s Au-As anomalies– MAKWINI: auger soil sampling =~9kmX1.5km NITON XRF As-Fe-Cu in soil anomalies.– Samples from this block submitted to SGS for Au assaying.
MKURUMU-MAGAMBA PROVINCE
MKURUMU SW GOLD PROJECTS: sub-area for drilling
MKURUMU-MAGAMBA PROVINCE• PROJECTS
– 174.84 km2 Kongwa (PL 7237/2011) and PL 7023/2011– 60-40% Makwini-Flamingo Company Ltd
• GEOLOGY – Largely covered by regolith profiles – E-W-trending mafic amphibolite, ortho and para-gneisses and ultramafic rocks.– Strongly overprinted by NW-SE-trending deformational and metamorphic fabric
• EXPLORATION WORK COMPLETED AND RESULTS– Geochemical soil sampling, 40cm deep/augering to B-Horizon – NITON XRF analyses returned the following anomalies:
• ~3km NE-SW-trending 118ppm Au Chikole anomaly• >6km NE-SW-trending and >1 km Fe-Cu Hogoro anomalies• ~3 km E-W-trending Ni-anomaly (Magereza
• FUTURE WORK– Regolith mapping to understand nature of the Chikole Au anomaly– Infill and step-out soil sampling to understand implications of the following
• Coincidental Fe-Cu points to possible Au-Cu deposit systems• Ni-Cu-Co anomalies point to Ni-Cu (PGEs???) potential
• DEFINE DRILL TARGETS
SURFACE GEOCHEMICAL SAMPLING: KONGWA PROJECT
MKURUMU-MAGAMBA PROVINCE: soil samplingPROJECT: Tamota (PL 8269/2012) Highlights• 60-40%-Makwini-Hydro-Geos owned
HIGHLITHTS• Entire mineral right covered by soil sampling
• NITON XRF Fe-Cu anomalies, with up to 1120ppm Cu in soil) over a 5kmX500m sub-area
• Anomalies coincidental with NW-SE-trendinglithomagnetic units and lithotectonic contac

CONCLUSIONS: PROXIES TO DISCOVERY OF SIGNIFICANT GOLD DEPOSITS• KITUNDA PROJECT
• Juvenile <2.85 Ga belts in the CTR analogous to LVGF , Tanzania and more importantly Superior and Yilgarn Cratons, where they host to significant deposits
• Discovery predicted from >2 Moz at >5/t Au from a >6km X 3km block• Highly ranked project moving to exploratory drilling stage.
• LUSAHUNGA PROJECT• Compressional- to transpressional reactivation of the basement structure, • Gold in westerly-verging shear zones in quartz veins and steeply dipping possibly en-
echelon vein systems in quartz-sericite schist• Mineralized zone extends intermittently for at least >2.5 km of strike length• Project moving to exploratory drilling stage
• MKURUMU SW PROJECT• Reactive and competent Fe-rich mafic rocks in paragneisses,• Domain set at high-angles to the NW-SE-direction of maximum compression• NW-verging thrust, back-thrust and asymmetrical folds associated with gold.• This project has potential for discovery from a ~9km X 1.5km sub-area• Project moving to exploratory drilling stage
• TAMOTA PROJECT• Strong NW-SE transpressional fabric along craton margin• Mafic-Ultramafics (6km and >1) km Fe-Cu Hogoro anomalies• ~3 km (Magereza Ni-anomaly), ~3km NE-SW-trending 118ppm Au Chikole anomaly

• Lusahunga, Kongwa, Mkurumu SW, Tamota, Mkata and Handeni East projects)• Projects generated by in-house specialists (Project Generation exercises) and field
assessment of projects submitted by vendors. This work is conducted through their consultant Mazoka Resources (Pty) Ltd;
