OUR MISSION STATEMENT AND PURPOSE
To provide an opportunity for women to meet regularly in order to build their businesses through network-
ing and to foster the development of women in the community through social networking and scholarship
opportunities. We shall provide social and educational meetings which will focus on business opportunities
and development for women.
President’s Message
As the smoke clears and summer starts to wind down I look forward to cooler, calmer days ahead.
This is a great time of year to check in on your goals (business or personal) and reassess if needed. If
you need any help in this area-TCWN has many resources available!
August’s meeting was BIG! I’m happy to report we had over 33 people attend. This meeting was a
great opportunity to catch up with existing members, meet our newest member and welcome several
new guests. If you haven’t been to a meeting in a while, I encourage you to come and see us! Thank
you to our guest speakers- Laura Sunday and Devon Sokyrka from the Center for a Non-Violent
Community! I enjoyed their “Finding your Strength” presentation and assessment activities. As per
usual, our group demonstrated wonderful support in donating winter blankets for their emergency
shelter! Please like or share if you see this on Facebook.
I know you’ve all seen the emails, Facebook posts and website regarding our upcoming Membership
Appreciation event with Claudia Newcorn! Last year Claudia was our guest presenter and gave us a
small sample of her Marketing expertise. Due to the overwhelming response to bring her back, she’s
agreed to do an event for our group. This is a tremendous membership benefit and opportunity for
your business! Please do not miss this one. More information is in this Newsletter.
It’s Scholarship time again. Our Scholarship Committee has done such an amazing job that we have
an abundance of money to give away. Please help spread the word to potential applicants. Applica-
tion submission deadline is October 1st!
Looking ahead to next year’s Scholarship fundraiser- we welcome any donated raffle prizes! If you
have any raffle gifts or gift ideas, please feel free to contact me.
Yours Truly,
Nicole Kikugawa, Board President [email protected] 415-264-1050

I’m Margaret Lawrence and I am a Life Coach focusing on transition and life purpose. I work with women who are ready to unleash their inner confidence and discover their personal path to freedom. So often we try and be everything to everyone that we lose track of who we really are. When you find your voice, speak your truth, and live in integrity you experience a more peaceful, balanced and joy filled life. I know this to be true because a little over two and a half years ago I didn’t know who I was any more. The person I presented to the world did not match
who I was inside, I was afraid to let her out. You will be glad to know all that has changed, I found my voice, I speak my truth and I am the happiest I have ever been
As a certified professional coach, I work in partnership with
you to help you build your confidence to pursue your dreams
and find the happiness you deserve.
I love to develop and present workshops on personal develop-
ment and goal setting and I am in the process of developing a
weekend retreat/workshop for 2019.
As a new solopreneur launching my life coaching business I
found myself looking for a support network of other women in
business. I walked into a TCWN lunch meeting and found my-self as a Board Member the following year. I have met a lot of
amazing business women and continue to learn so much.
