O M SOur Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy Is
Committed to Academic Excellence that is rooted in the Catholic Faith, affirmed by the teachings of Jesus
Christ and centered on Our service to God ,Family and Community.
W A T T f J C ?The teachings of Jesus Christ are his
preachings and stories. He is showing us how much God loves us and how we can be closer
to him. Through simple parables to huge preachings, Jesus just wants us to be closer to God and for us to love him just as much as he
loves us.
W D W L T T T .
We listen to the teachings of Jesus because it teaches us how to be a better person. It teaches us how to be like him and be more faithful to God. By doing this we learn more about Jesus’ life and how
much God loves us.
Why Do We Listen To The Teachings Pt. 2
Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Academy is based greatly on Catholic Faith. Without it we would not be able to
become as close to God as we would without listening to the teachings in our classes and homes.
The words of Jesus Christ are life changing and timeless. When Jesus spoke, lives were
transformed and forever altered. He tells us that He is "The way, the truth, and the life.”
T W Of GWhat does the Bible say about the Word of
God? Since the Bible is often considered the "Word of God" there is much to find about this
topic in scripture. The Bible is referred to as the Word of God meaning it can be considered a direct line of communication from the Lord, interpreted by the authors of the respective
books.

W D W L J ’ T ? P .2 We also can listen to the stories our
teachers tell us in class. The last one is we can read the bible anywhere we want
especially in our homes and really everywhere.
H L J ’ T
We listen to Jesus’ teachings by just having faith in and loving God. The message of Jesus’ teachings is exactly
that. By just doing that simple thing, we already know Jesus’ teachings by
heart.
Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy listens to these teachings all the time. In our daily
gospels, readings, homilies, and everyday classes, we hear all of Jesus’ teachings. I bet that most classes knows at least one parable by heart. Mine (Isabella) would have to be the
Prodigal Son.
