Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in progression from it to the full product? I have learnt teamwork skills, as I had to work together with the members of my team through the preliminary task and the opening sequence, as I had to listen and contribute to the ideas of both the preliminary task and the opening sequence. Moreover, teamwork was needed to create the footage of the two tasks by choosing effective camera techniques and movements to highlight and develop the shots of our thriller genre opening sequence. Therefore, we could develop an effective opening sequence. Lighting was important in part of making the prelim and we picked an appropriate for the sophisticated office environment. This was also achieved in opening sequence as we worked as a group to come up with thriller locations such as, the isolated scene, where the victim was kept. Therefore, a dark, enigmatic thriller atmosphere was created to make the opening sequence, to make the film more dramatic and effective. Moreover, I shared the camera responsibility and learnt to incorporate appropriate shots in the thriller to make the opening sequence create more impact on the viewers. Through doing the opening sequence and the prelim task I learn how to use specific camera movements and techniques.

Continuity was an important part of the making of the prelim task for example we made a mistake by forgetting to put up the blinds whilst filming a second take of the shot. Therefore, when we were making the opening sequence I made sure that props, costuming and the environment was the same to achieve continuity throughout the opening sequence. Furthermore, another part of making sure we displayed continuity was to record any advancements in the opening sequence. For example, adding new props such as the cannibal meat.
