Lock down is the harrowing story of the outbreak of a Zombie disease in a British secondary school, through the vivid memories of a teenage survivor. Following the outbreak, the plot centres around the survivors attempts to escape the school.

A school, which, due to power failure, has entered a state of lock down: every door is electronically locked from the outside. There is seemingly no escape.... but do the teenage survivors have a peaceful world to escape to?

28 days later, which we seek to recreate the sense of isolation created.

Dead set, due to the obvious similarities of plot and effective editing.

Kill Bill, as it uses an intriguing disjointed narrative.

Dawn of the Dead, for its effective use of editing to create suspense.

Zombie Land, despite its spoof overtones, applies Zombie horror conventions very effectively.

Hancock, which uses a highly effective sound bridge into its opening scene.

A sound bridge with title music into a chase scene establishes a dramatic start to our film. The chase scene is highly kinetic, although little is revealed of the pursuing Zombies. During this chase scene, we will scroll our title sequence.

This chase scene, potentially the tensest part of the full film, will be ended with a cut of a baseball bat hitting a Zombie in the face, from the perspective of the aforementioned Zombie, with a jump cut to a generic scene of the pre-Zombie school, and day to day routine, which will be portrayed with a much slower pace of editing.

The opening sequence will end with an ominous high angle shot showing the main protagonist entering the school, which has been established as the site of something bad in the chase scene.
