The assessment criteria for this part of the unit is as follows:

P2 Plan the development of a multi-page website:• Purpose• Target Audience• Content• Production Plan
M1 Detailed planning for the design and function of the website considering how information flows and pages link. Justify choices in relation to target audience appeal and usability. Relevant legal and ethical issues considered.

Consider visitor needs and how they will navigate the website. The info provided on a budget, launch date and timescale is realistic. Some consideration to relevant revenue potential.

Services
Space for ads of varying sizes on your site
Linking with a third party who provide funding
Revenue from tickets or merchandise sales

Intellectual Property
Intellectual property covers anything that you have created such as: Inventions Artistic Works Designs Images
All intellectual property is protected by laws including patents, copyright and trademarks.
These laws prevent others from using the original work without permission. #revenue

Copyright
Copyright is the rights that the original owner of a creative piece of work has over that work.
The copyright law itself gives owners of creative work the right to earn income from their copyrighted work.
It also prevents others using that copyrighted material without first seeking permission which limits the use of copyrighted work.

Creative Commons
Creative Commons allows you to refine the rules of copyright so that you can share your work.
You can set rules such as: Commercial/Non-Commercial Link back to original Share future works
With creative commons you are not letting go of your rights but letting people share, remix and reuse work legally.

Trademarks
A trademark is the sign or symbol that is recognisable for an individual company.
It can be identified using the following: Ⓡ Registered Trademark TM Unregistered Trademark
A companies logo could have a trademark on it to prevents others from using it.
This could prevent counterfeiters who may use a trade mark illegally to produce similar products.
