Our history

Duarry was founded by Juan Duarry Serra in 1968. That year the company manufactured the first liferafts, which from this moment on had been known under the brand Duarry. Later, in 1976 the first approval tests for liferafts according to the SOLAS agreement took place. In just a few years, the company increases its production and conquers virtually the entire commercial Spanish market share. In the early 1980s Duarry starts to grow internationally, acquiring huge presence in several countries around the world. Ausmar, the maritime safety company created for the servicing of Duarry liferafts, was founded in 1981. With it, the largest network of liferafts service stations in Spain comes to life. Duarry expands and diversifies the business year-on-year, offering approved liferafts according to the ISO 9650 regulation for its use in recreational crafts, besides its SOLAS liferafts. Nearly fifty years after its foundation, Duarry has consolidated its presence abroad, with service stations in more than seventy countries and looking after fleets from around the world.

Throw Overboard Liferafts

Liferafts available for 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 30 and 35 persons, for use on commercial vessels, fishing vessels, passenger vessels and

offshore installations. DUARRY throw overboard liferaft is released from its cradle and thrown overboard, or slides automatically when released. Once on the water, the liferaft inflates on a hard pull of the painter line and is then ready for boarding. The liferaft is packed in a GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) container with interior reinforcements making it adaptable to any type of cradle. In addition,

Davit Launchable Liferafts

Liferafts available for 12, 16, 20, 25 persons for use on commercial vessels, passenger vessels and offshore installations. DUARRY davit launchable liferaft is to be connected to the davit and then inflated at deck level, thus enabling the passengers to board the raft from deck. The liferaft is then launched to the water. The liferaft is packed in a rounded shape GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) container. This liferaft is approved according to the latest SOLAS 74 chapter III and amendments and according to the MED. In addition, DUARRY offers the possibility of customise the new liferaft container in the colour of the customer preference.

The extremely compact dimensions of this SOLAS liferaft offers the sailor all the freedom needed at sea without compromising safety. It is made of the lightest materials and optimised down to the last detail. As a result, the liferaft is specially lightweight and compact, perfect for oceanic sailing. It is available for 6, 8, 10 and 12 persons, for use on megayacht, offshore racing boats, extreme sailing and all those wishing maximum safety without trading off space. HSC Open Reversible Liferafts

Liferafts available for 6, 10, 25, 30, 50, 65 and 100 persons for use on passenger ships operating in inland and coastal waters. DUARRY open reversible liferaft is designed for shipwrecked persons who may face bad weather conditions during a short period of time before being rescued. This type of liferaft is fully reversible. International Liferafts

Liferaft specially designed for coastal navigation, made of approved tissues for SOLAS

liferafts. It has a double float construction to ensure perfect buoyancy even in

overload conditions and adverse weather conditions. Its high resistance

hood and its zipper entrance ensure maximum watertightness.

The liferaft is delivered in a high resistant fiberglass container

with high durability. Its small size facilitates the load on

board and container’s internal reinforcements allow
