Art 1: Pop Art
Painting: Pop Art Drawing: Flower Drawings
Mon 4/8 – B3 • Warm up: What is your assignment
for the UNIT?
• Answer: 2 Flower Paintings (one can be
bones) using 2 different color schemes.
• Today’s Objectives: -Last day to Finish your second flower or BONE painting! -Fill out grade sheet & Turn in when finished. (Must be dry). -If time, Do a third watercolor painting of your choice when finished!
• Closing Question:

Mon 4/8 – B4 - Drawing • Warm up – List 3 objectives for your
flower drawing project. • Objectives: Realistic & 3D, Value range with color,
Realistic colors (as close to the real colors as possible), Fades, Blends, Tints, Shades, Details & textures last, Background color that goes well with your flower/s, Craftsmanship & Effort
• Today’s Objectives: You will continue your flower drawings. You have Mon, Wed, & Friday.
• Scratchboard is officially due Today 4/8 • Closing Question: • What are the most important things to remember to
do with your flower drawings? • Answer: Layer & Blend
Mon 4/8 – AB5 • Warm up: How should you set up to paint?
• Put your stuff on the floor, get a brush & newspaper for under your painting, share a paint pallet & cup of water with your neighbor!
• Today’s Objectives: Today is your last day to finish the Watercolor Unit. You should have two paintings. Grade sheet is on my desk. Turn in paintings when dry.
• Closing Question: How should you clean up after painting?
• Wash your brushes & replace brush end up, replace newspaper & paint pallets neatly, spray & wipe your table if messy.

Warm Up- As a group, using the sticky notes on your tables, come up with a minimum of 20 descriptive words to describe your artwork, adhere them along the border of the artwork provided.
Remember descriptive words are adjectives, words used to describe the subject. Ex.: Strong, rich, repulsive, colossal, victorious, skinny, etc.
Tue 4/9- A2, A3, A4, AB5
Warm Up- Using the descriptive words gathered and 5 or more sentences, as a group write a narrative that relates to the artwork.
The narrative is a short story that can be imaginative, factual, mythical, or biographical.

This is a form of Criticism. 1.Critism is the analysis and judgment of an artwork. There are 4 parts to art criticism: describing, analyzing, interpreting, and judging.
