___Meridian High School has a uniform late work policy. Late work will be

accepted at any time throughout a unit of the adopted curriculum. A maximum of 70% can be earned for late work. All students will have the opportunity to demonstrate learning on a test at a 70% or less when retaking tests or completing test corrections.To encourage mastery of content Ms. Moats allows test retakes following the completion of the unit specific test retake preparation requirements. Students who complete the retake preparation requirements may receive up to full credit on their retake test.Students may be allowed up to two days per absence to complete make-up work for full credit. . Late work should be placed in the late/absence box on the turn in table and must be accompanied by a completed Late Work Form for eligible credit. Failure to correctlyplace your late/absent work in the late/absent work box could result in your assignment being misplaced or disposed of. PLEASE take responsibility for correctly submitting your late and absent work…it’s in YOUR best interest!

There will be no food or drink on the carpet at any time! Students may bring beverages inand keep them on the stainless steel tables or The white refrigerators,But may only “visit” them during non-instructionaltime, or when I student has finished an assignment to Ms. Moats satisfaction. She’ll need to see the assignment before you slurp. Sharing of beverages will result in disposal of beverages as it is an unsafe and unsanitary practice.

MHS Cell Phone Policy:1. Cell Phones may not be on or seen in the classroom.2. Students are encouraged to not bring cell phones to class or put cell phones into the vaults hanging in each classroom.Consequences: Students must surrender their phone for the remainder of the day. Students who refuse to surrender their phone will

have additional consequences determined by administration.Students are permitted to use electronic devices before school, during lunch, during passing periods, and afterschool. Electronic devices are a privilege not a right.Walk into FACS classroom committed to learning, or wait out in hallway while on phone until bell.

Each student will be issued 2 hall passes per semester. Hall passes must be used for any purpose that requires a student to leave the classroom. Following the use of a student’s two hall passes, a student can earn additional hall passes by completing cleaning tasks during lunch. Students must sign out on the hall pass log before leaving the classroom. Also, cell phones must be left in the cell phone basket anytime a student leaves the classroom for any reason.

:This Leadership Class is aligned with the student organization Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). FCCLA programs and activities are an integral part of

this course. FCCLA is a student-led leadership organization that focuses on the family and provides diverse opportunities for leadership development. Membership FCCLA organization is a part of this course, Participation in local, competitions and events is expected. State and National participation is encouraged. Visit http://fcclainc.org for more information..Membership forms are to be filled out and returned one week from start of class; Please see Ms. Moats as soon as possible if you would like to take advantage of fundraising or scholarship opportunities. Membership Dues are paid to the bookkeeper and are due no later than October 25th, 2019.
