not that intelligent• Devotional service is above Karma

filled activities• Great desire to see Krishna enabled

him to retain the memory of past life : Jati Smara

• King Nrga said that he was very generous towards brahmanas and devoted to them

• Only if one gets liberated , he can see Krishna so he was very fortunate

• Even though you see the Lord you cannot get into Vaikuntha

Page 14: Krishna Leela Series - Part 59 - The Story of King Nrga

• After having attained a demigod’s body he started glorifying Krishna

• Before departing for heavens, he bowed before the Lord and got His blessings

• Krishna appreciated the King’s charitable disposition and recommended one should follow the Vedic principles

• Grihastas should give charity

• Usurping Brahmana’s property is worse than drinking poison

• If Someone touches a brahmana’s property, he is ruined for 3 generations

• If he forcefully takes away, he is ruined for 10 generations

• Usurpers are put into hell, OR sometimes come as an insect in stool for 60,000 years OR he will become a serpent

• But if someone becomes a devotee of the Lord , ten generations before and after will be liberated

• One should give full respect to Brahamanas no matter what they do for even the Lord respects them

• Charity should be given to the right Persons • One must be careful when doing charity
