nārāyanam namaskrtyanaram caiva narottamamdevīm sarasvatīm vyāsamtato jayam udīrayet

SB: 1.2.4 - Before reciting this Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, which is the very means

of conquest, one should offer respectful obeisances unto the Personality of Godhead,

Nārāyana, unto Nara-nārāyana Rsi, the supermost human being, unto mother Sarasvatī, the goddess of learning, and

unto Śrīla Vyāsadeva, the author.

BEFORE READING SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM

nasta-prāyesv abhadresunityam bhāgavata-sevayābhagavaty uttama-ślokebhaktir bhavati naisthikī

SB: 1.2.18 - By regular attendance in classes on the Bhāgavatam and by rendering of service to the

pure devotee, all that is troublesome to the heart is almost completely destroyed, and loving

service unto the Personality of Godhead, who is praised with transcendental songs, is

established as an irrevocable fact.

BG:3.22- O son of Påthä, there is no work prescribed for Me within all the threeplanetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I a need to obtainanything—and yet I am engaged in prescribed duties.

Krishna got nothing to do

na tasya käryaà karaëaà ca vidyate(Çvetäçvatara Upaniñad 6.7–8)

He does not possess bodily form like that of an ordinary living entity.

yad yad äcarati çreñöhastat tad evetaro janaùsa yat pramäëaà kurutelokas tad anuvartate

BG:3.21- Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whateverstandards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues.

Then why He works ?

We should Follow, not Imitate

janma karma ca me divyamevaà yo vetti tattvataùtyaktvä dehaà punar janmanaiti mäm eti so ’rjuna
