Ripe cherry and underlying wild strawberry rise to the nose from this wine. There are also hints of brioche-like new oak. The mouth feel is round, evenly balanced with truly varietal flavours with spice and fruit combined. The finish is long and concentrated. It will excel with duck served in any style.

Deep crimson in colour, this 2007 Yarra Valley pinot noir displays an intense varietal aroma of black cherries with hints of leather and spice. The balanced palate shows concentrated primary flavours of raspberry, plum and violet, with cedary French oak and chocolate secondary characters. Soft, fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity provide a lingering finish to this classically structured pinot noir.

Dark ruby with crimson hue, this cabernet merlot exhibits aromas of cassis, mint and blackberry, with a hint of cedar. Fruit-driven and complex on the palate, raspberry, blackberry and leafy notes are complemented by soft tannins and subtle savoury characters. A combination of careful fruit-handling and extended French oak maturation has resulted in a stylish varietal wine for drinking now and over the next five years.

A great dessert style giving richness without any cloying characters. Drink now with fresh fruit, especially peaches and light desserts.

The fruit for this Mansfield riesling was picked in early April, with warm and dry weather preceding the harvest, making it one the earliest vintages in 35 years in the Mansfield area. The wine shows strong grapefruit and lime aromas, combined with some regional floral tones; it has great length of flavour, a mineral finish and a lovely crisp natural acidity. A wine to enjoy when young, or to cellar with confidence for up to 12 years. It has already won a silver and a bronze medal at its first show having recently been bottled!


Mansfield Riesling 2008

A cancelled export order has enabled us to purchase this amazing gold medal winning Victorian shiraz. Complex and intense aroma with hints of white pepper, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon which support fragrant ripe blackberry, licorice and blood plums with peppery hints and supple, savoury tannins. This wine will develop in the bottle over the next 5 to 10 years.

Reserve Victoria Shiraz 2004

This is a top quality Margaret River semillon sauvignon blanc from the 2008 vintage. It has fresh, delicate aromas of cut grass and grapefruit. A portion of the semillon was barrel fermented and then blended back with the sauvignon blanc to give added complexity and flavour. The result is a crisp, savoury white wine with natural mineral acidity and excellent fruit texture. Best now or until 2011.

McLaren Vale shiraz produced rich and flavoursome wines from the 2006 vintage. This shiraz has been matured in French and American oak for 18 months to provide spicy, peppery and plum fruit characters. The palate is full bodied with rich, sweet fruit of good length and viscosity finishing with balanced acidity. This wine is very approachable at release, however has the structure to mature and develop over the next 10 years.
