5) FLAT SKETCHES (optional): a) Flats may be completed by hand or in Adobe Illustrator.

6) PRESENTATION: a) Must be presented in your portfolio book with an appropriate layout or in a mat board. b) Must be submitted digitally with an appropriate layout presentation in Google Classroom. c) Artist Statement discussing your inspiration, process, challenges, and achievements. The Feldman Method of Art CriticismDescription: Identify the things in the artwork that you see. Do not make or state any judgments at this stage. Do not form or state any opinions at this time. Make a list of the visual qualities of the work that are obvious and immediately perceived.

The Feldman MethodAnalysis: Focus on the formal aspects of art, the elements and principles of design. Discover how the elements and principles are used in the work. This helps to reveal the decision making process of the artist. The artist wants the viewer to make certain connections within the artwork.

● What colors/shapes are used and how have they been arranged?

● Are there any leading lines and if so, where is your eye lead,

● Is there any use of contrast/patterns? If so where.
