HELP FOR TORNADO VICTIMSIN JOPLIN, MISSOURI

Fifth Avenue Church of Christ is proud that we have ateam of adults traveling to Joplin, Missouri. They willleave this Sunday after the first service and head 11 hoursaway to the tornado ravaged city of Joplin which was ram-sacked a few weeks ago. The city is in bad need of volunteers as people are left without the basic needs of lifethat we often take for granted. Our team will be working ata distribution center from 8:30-7 each day. Please pray fortheir strength and safety.

In the bulletin, we mentioned items that are needed thatwill be delivered by us to the people of Joplin. If youwould like to donate toward this trip, you can do so in twoways:

Donate the following items: pet supplies, non-perishable foods, personal care items, paperproducts, baby goods, flashlights, batteries, work gloves, medical supplies, and especially cleaningsupplies. (No clothes, no textiles) You can bringyour donation to the church and put in the nurseryanytime this week during office hours or onSaturday night at 6 pm as they load up the work trailer. Or you can

Donate money toward the expenses of thevolunteers, to help with food costs, items that needto be purchased for the work, etc(Please do soby Wednesday night).

    Thank you for your generosity.

Wanda Dickson Joplin Tornado victims Our Troops

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who were responsible for making our new classroom possible. Many were involved in the clean up and back-breaking process of removing items from the room. One person has gone the extra mile in running all the electric and installation of lighting and the ceiling fan. To him I say a

BIG THANKS! I would mention him by name but I know he wouldnt want me to so you will just have to guess.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said: When you cease to make a contribution, you begin to die. To what do you contribute? I want to thank our team of volunteers who are putting the interest of others in Joplin above themselves. As they go to Missouri, they will be Gods hands, feet and voice. Pray for them daily as they contribute and help others find true meaning for this life.
