Progress on Chapel ProjectThings have been moving full-steam ahead on the Chapel Project the last few months. HVAC and Electrical teams are working hard every day to get those systems up and running. We will be ready to move on to more interior finishes yet this summer.

Pick up Your Awana AwardsUnfortunately we were not able to have an Awana Awards Ceremony this year to recognize the accomplishments that your kids work so hard to achieve. We have gathered all of the awards that they have earned and have them packaged and ready for pickup near the child check in at Wallen Road or in the church office Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am – 4pm. Click Here to see the program for the Awards Night and congratulate these kids as you see them at church for their hard work this year. ■

Chapel continued

The Chapel will certainly be a beautiful location for weddings. Rooms for the bridal party to get ready are being prepared on either side of the stage. Jack Kuhn has pulled up parts of the wood dance floor to reveal the original flooring is still intact—and we’re hoping it is throughout! Plaster repair and restoration is underway, and the marble floors on the stage will also be restored. Custom wood trim is being prepared by volunteers, and paint colors are being finalized.

It is exciting to see this beautiful piece of history coming back to life!

Watch for future opportunities to get your hands dirty tearing up that dance floor when the time comes. ■
