Joe is a member of the Danville-Sycamore Rotary Club, a member of the 6 Club PR group, and a Leadership
San Ramon Valley graduate. Joe gave us a primer on the use of social media
for business/organization applications. He specifically discussed the use of
blogs (web log) to enhance an entity's marketability. Blogs can be used to
control messaging, to share experiences and expertise, to build a following for
a business or a cause, or for search engine optimization (where you end up inthe list of results when a topic is googled: ideally near the top!). For those of
us who dont have a blog, Joe gave us a very basic starting point
(Wordpress.com), as well as other applications for the more advanced blog
owner. He also gave us some ideas for Best Practices for blog owners. Joe is
the Owner and IT Consultant at Managed Solutions. His blog can be found
at http://joesgonesocial.com/
