Current State
Current procurement and delivery of food items is the
ultimate responsibility of catering companies
Several known weaknesses exist such as:
Wastage
cleaning and gutting fish and poultry results inaccumulating waste on board;
Coststhe accumulated waste need to be disposed ashore
incurring additional handling costs;
Delivery
delays in delivery of food items impactingvessel turnaround time;
Quality control actual inventory of consignment is not
verifiable making it easy for pilferages to happen.

The JV intends to be a one stop centre to address the above
through Lean Operations:

poultry and meat
Storing them in standard size cartons for ease of movement
Bar coding the individual cartons according to type, weight,
processing and expiry dates
Ensuring prompt and correct delivery of consignment to
destination via a net based tracking system Prioritise supplies from Kelantanese entrepreneurs to ensure
direct economic benefits from Tok Bali development

System Featuresand Benefits
System OverviewProvides control and tracking over items in transit between a supply base tooffshore platform.
Cloud based system accessible from everywhere with minimal internet connectivityat 250kbps.
The system is to be deployed at the receiving station at :
1. the respective offshore platforms, and;2. a staging area at supply base berth.
An online inventory management system will be accessible at both areas to feedand receive data for the operator to run necessary processes and procedures

Staging Area
There are two process involved which are cargo loading and waybill generation:
During the cargo loading process, the operator prints and attaches the barcodeto the cargo container. Once inside the supply vessel, the barcode data need tobe scanned and uploaded into the information network.
At the end of the loading process, a waybill will be generated from the scannedbarcode. This waybill is later transmitted to the offshore structure/vessels, ready toreceive the cargo.
