Granny Smith History

I’m now going to tell you about aGranny Smith Apple. These apples

are some type of sweet & sour tasting 

apples. They look good physically &

they’re even better interiorly. These

apple are crispy , juicy and

amazingly tempting to devour in

taste. Some people buy them just

for the temptation of how yummy  

they look.

 Apples like Granny Smith are known

everywhere and sometimes are one of the all time favorites.

 Although there are no facts that

prove that but I'm sure they are.

Description 

Granny Smith apples were originated in

Australia (1868) .

Marie Anne Smith, is from whom the apple

got the name from.

They thought it was a hybrid of malus syl-

vestris, The European Wild Apple.

Apples are light

green apples.

They are crispy

and juicy.

Granny Smith

did notably well

while other

cultivars struggled. 

Granny Smith Apples are best for pie

baking! 

They are favored for salads because the slices do not brown as quickly as

other varieties.
