Opening of RO in Dehli, CNBC AWAAZ CRISIL Award for the third year in a row, entry into new field of Solar Energy, new projects in Chakan, Una and Vadodra, Web based Performance Management System. They say that well begun is half done.. a good beginning is very indicative of an accomplished end. But things do not happen automatically.. there is a lot of room between well begun….and mission accomplished.. it is the journey of focused toil. A good beginning is not an end in itself, but it is that push that gives you an assuring impetus. Well this is as far as the company is considered… have you begun your year well? The new performance management system will come very handy to you in setting the agenda and priorities for your own development, if it is used in the spirit. It will surely help you to get better by every passing day, to keep your actions focused towards your individual and organizational goals. Such focus actually is a double delight. The journey itself, and the achievement both are intoxicating. “Manzil pe nazar rakh ke chalne kee dhun kuch aur hoti hai… Manzil pane ka nasha kuch aur” Delhi: North Regional office at Gurgaon was inaugurated on 1st April 11 by GM Projects – Mr & Mrs Santosh Nair. The office is located in plush JMD Square Building on M G Road, Gurgaon. Mrs and Mr Nair lighted the ceremonial lamp to formally inaugurate the office in presence of the staff from regional office and some other site locations. Inauguration was followed by Puja performed by the local pujari. Each staff were later greeted by Mr Nair with a flower. The event culminated with serving of snacks and hi tea. Pune: Both the HR Depts of RBIPL & RBDPL moved into their new Office @ Pride Silicon Plaza, near Chaturshrungi Temple, Pune on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa on 04th April 2011. Now the HR Dept. will be working as one team which will enable better system control and smooth functioning. Pooja was done by Kalindi Kale. We have done it once again… third year in a row, to win CRISIL awards. It gives us great pleasure to share with you that Rohan Group has bagged not one but two awards and that to on National level, for two of our projects, that are located in two different cities, simultaneously. Rohan Jharoka, Bangalore has bagged award in category "Best Residential property 1 lakh to 5 lakh sq.ft." & Rohan Madhuban, Pune in the category of "Best Luxury Segment Residential Project”. Delhi: North Regional office at Gurgaon was inaugurated on 1st April 11 by GM Projects – Mr & Mrs Santosh Nair. The office is located in plush JMD Square Building on M G Road, Gurgaon. GOOD PRACTICES

A good practice follwed by this site is the procedure used for Casting Concrete Cubes.

• Clean the standard cube moulds 9 Nos. thoroughly & tight all nut – bolts properly.

• Apply oil to all contact surfaces of mould. The size of mould is normally 150mm x 150mm x 150mm.

• Take the random samples from the mix in ghamela while concreting.

• Fill the concrete in cubes in 3 layers.

• Compact each layer with 35 stroke with a tamping rod.

• Cover the mould with a damp Hessian cloth immediately to prevent of loss of water.

• Each specimen should be taken from various locations of proposed concreting.

• After 24 hour remove specimen out of mould.

• While removing, take care to avoid breaking of edges.

• Put coding on cubes by paint or marker. Coding should be self explanatory showing site name, concrete locations, building no., and date of casting.

• Submerge the specimen in clean freshwater till the time of testing.

• Test the 3 specimens for 3 days, 3 specimens for 7 days & the remaining 3 for 28 days.

• Take 15 cm x 15cm x 15cm cube – 9 Nos. for testing.

• Out of 6 cubes take 3 cubes after 3 days, 3 cubes after 7 days and balance 3 cubes after 28 days for Compressive strength testing.

• Take the weight of all cubes and note it on the cube testing register.

• Put the cube on the Testing machine platform in such a way that the load should be apply perpendicular to cube casting direction.

• Start putting load on the surface of the cube with the help of operating Rod @ 140 Kg/cm² / min.

• Apply the load till the cube break and note down the reading in the cube testing register.

• Calculate the average compressive strength & note down in cube testing register

LG,Ranjangaon.For the 1st time on site a Free Dental Check-up was sponsored By ICPA Pharma & organized by Rohan Builders (I) pvt ltd. on 08/04/2011.In the 2 hours of the visit by Dr. Jadhav and his team, a prayer on the thoughts of Vamanrao Pai who is his spiritual Guide was said to motivate the staff. Also a Speech on"The importance of Teeth" in our lives was addressed by the Doctors. A Free medical Kit including toothpaste, mouthwash, Dental Floss thread, gum relief pain etc. was distributed to the 100 staff who attended the check up.

MRF, Perambalur: Gudi Padwa was celebrated at site with great enthusiasm by our staff with the Gudi put up and Pooja too. All good blessings for the new year and successful completion for the project.

Celebration of monthly Safety Motivation programme on 04.04.2011 with the Consultant TCE Ltd. A Skit was presented by Rohan Safety Persons (Mr. Manoj Kumar, Mr. Aziz Ahmed & Mr. Bince Thomas) highlighting the consumption of water to prevent dehydration and heatstroke. Awards were also presented to 20 Workers.

Safety Motivat ion programme : Saint Gobain, BhiwadiRohan Team has achieved a Trophy along with Appreciation letter from Saint Gobain Glass (I) ltd. for “ Best safety practices followed in the Project” for the period Dec 2010 to March 2011. Congratulations to the entire team for this achievement.

It's an immense pleasure to inform you all that we have made our entry in solar business by acquiring a controlling stake( 60 % ) in an established Solar technology company - Clique Developments Limited (CDL). This will give us entry in upcoming business opportunities in non conventional energy that has a huge growth potential. CDL’s office and its fabrication plant are located in Mumbai. It’s employee strength is close to 50. CDL has implemented projects worth approx Rs. 4.5 crores till date. Abhishek Bhatewara & Ashwin Lunkad will lead this business under guidance of Mr Sudhir Menon & Mr Deven Nagar along with the present promoters of CDL.

Nandu Mahto, Umesh Tiwari and Rakesh have done a great job in maintaining the Labour Camp at Carbon plant, Hindalco project at Singrauli.They have maintained a separate file with detailed diagrams and description of every activity at the labour camp such as Layouts of Hutments, Toilet Blocks, Drinking water tanks etc. An extremely clean camp which garnered the appreciation of the client too as being one of the Best Labour Camps run by any of the Contractors at Site. They are even constructing a separate Office at the Camp itself to deal with the daily issues. Hats Off to the team for their wonderful effort and worthy of being implemented by other Sites as well.
